Satan Lies through His Teeth

I am 60 years of age. I was raised as a Protestant and I was lucky enough to have a Catholic mother. So therefore, I was brought up with both the Catholic faith and the Protestant faith alongside each other, in a peaceful manner. My family has for generations intermarried with the different Christian faiths. I started noticing my beliefs were becoming more and more Catholic than Protestant as I was growing up, by the time I was Seventeen most of my beliefs were Catholic. I love to read and I have read both Catholic and Protestant books.

Question Put to You

I want to put this question before you. Why is it that the Jewish people are too afraid to open the New Testament? One Jewish women eventually did. And she was so surprised to find it was a Jewish book. She even said to herself ‘it is either the best kept secret, or I am going straight to hell.’ Why has Satan kept the Jews away from it? Fear that they will find out about their Saviour and therefore complete the task they started with in the first Century Christians communities. Which race is the most hated of all and why are they are so hated, the Jewish race is hated more than any other race, because Satan hates anything that glorifies God the most. Which religion is hated and the most persecuted of all religions in the world? The Christian religion and it just so happens out of all the Christian Churches, the Catholic Faith is hated the most. Can’t you see how Satan works?

Satan is a Copy Cat

Why does Satan have his followers practise the black mass? Why Satan hasn’t chosen to have it called the black service? Why? The answer is so simple. The Holy Mass celebrates the consecration of the body and blood of Jesus Christ every day. Many Protestants Churches only celebrate communion once a month, only a few Protestants Churches will do it once a week. Satan is going to attack what is more dangerous to him. Satan is a copycat, he copies all things that belong to God, so as to deceive people. New Age experiences copy the Holy Spirit. People who practise New Age beliefs don’t realise it. Of course it is no way as free, beautiful or powerful as what the Holy Spirit can do. It is all to mislead people and set them up against one another. Satan would love Christians to fight Christians more than anybody on this planet. For the very purpose to hurt God who loves us so much.

Protestants talk to one another as if they know what Catholics actually believe in and yet very few of them have read a Catholic book written by a Catholic who truly practises the Catholic faith. Even the reformation are all written by Protestants. So they are only getting their view across, without any resistance from Catholics. I remember watching a show with my mother, and the young lady in the show said she was a Catholic and my mother piped up ‘she doesn’t act like a Catholic.’ So I was intrigued and asked her why she said that. My mother explained she was too confident and outspoken to be a Catholic. I understand her very well now. I have been raised as a Protestant so I am standing up for the Catholic faith, because the Protestants have taught me well how to speak up.

Catholics have always been down trodden, by many priest and the Protestants. Who got all the good jobs for example? It has only been in my mother’s life time that Catholics were allowed to work in banks and become doctors etc. Most Catholics have been very poor with large families and kept in their place. I remembered, I had a very embarrassing incident in my local Catholic Church and I walked out and said to God I am glad that this town are mostly not Catholics, because I would be the talk of the town. God quickly corrected me, He made it very clear that, He wished the whole town was Catholic. If you don’t believe me Ask God!!!! Ask God and expect an answer! If you truly love God, you would want to know the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And that means listening to God what He wants to tell you, not what you want Him to say.

We are Going Backwards

We are going backwards not forward. Catholics are very much Christian. Protestants and Catholics beliefs for the most part are the same. I don’t know how many Protestant books I have read that claim Catholics have a different beliefs to them about grace. They always insinuate that Catholics believe we can get to Heaven by our own works, which of course is not true. Remember what Jesus said ‘you shall be judged as you judge others.’ A visionaries was told by Jesus something like this or similar ‘if you judged a person as guilty of hell, you have judged yourself as guilty of hell.’ In other words if you have dammed a person, you have dammed yourself. So don’t do it. Be very careful who you say is not a Christian. And do your homework before you make any claims on another in Jesus’s name.

What is the Rosary? And How Some Protestant see Catholics

I can’t remember how it came about, but I do remember asking a friend who was a Protestant, if she was interested in saying the rosary with me. I was rather, shocked because she said yes. I told her there are two ways of saying the rosary. The most popular way when people come together and say the rosary, is while we say the prayer ‘Hail Mary’ our minds drift off to meditate on the mysteries of our redemption. In other words there is three main mysteries we meditate on while saying the rosary. The joyful, sorrowful and the glorious mysterious of Jesus’s life. The joyful mystery is the lead up to and the birth of Jesus and His early childhood. The sorrowful mystery covers Jesus suffering in the garden of Gethsemane and the lead up to the crucifixion. The glorious mystery is meditations on the Resurrection and what follows after it. Then I explained my favourite way is using a book on scripture verses on these subjects already set out for you to use while meditating on the mysteries of the rosary. I just find it a lot easier to meditate that way.

So she was happy to try to meditate on the joyful mystery by the help of the rosary with me. Some Catholics will only say one mystery a day, but Jesus is saying, because of the times we are living in, He wants us to say the three mysteries at least daily, which takes about an hour to do. But because she was new at it, we thought we say one mystery which takes about twenty minutes would do her, for a while.

Praying does Not Mean Worshiping, It is Communicating

Like most Protestants, me included when I was a Protestants, are very nervous about praying to Mary, because most people think praying is worshiping, but that is not what we are doing here. Praying to Mary doesn’t stop there. We pray to her so that she in turns prays to God on our behalf. When I was young I thought what was the point of that, why not pray to the top, meaning God. The journey God has taken me through life as a Catholic, He has taught me that I can do with a helping hand. In other words my faith united with Marys is a whole lot stronger then when I pray alone. If only Protestants can see that! I pray constantly that more and more Protestants realise that Satan is interfering with them, he doesn’t want them to know that God actually wants to use not only Mary but all the saints in heaven to be invited in our prayer life. They all will help us if we only believe in the communion of saints, like we are supposed to. In the Apostle Creed, which Protestants and Catholic say they believe in. In this very old creed we say we believe in the communion of saint.

Saints Will Help Us Too if We Ask Themclip_image00412

Protestants only believe in angles helping out. What the Protestants don’t believe is that Saints and the whole of the inhabitants of heaven are eager to serve God by serving us? All churches that started from a disciple of Jesus, who walked the earth with Him and was taught personally by Him, are very similar to each other. I was told by a women who was from the Greek Orthodox Church, which was started by the disciple of St. John, are told if they move to an area where there is no Greek Orthodox Church they are to attend the Catholic Church. Why? Because the old churches are very similar to one another, we all honour Mary for starters, we all celebrate the Mass, we all sign ourselves with the cross etc.

There is a lot of talk among Protestants that the Catholic Church did not start with St. Peter. I believe it is so because when Protestants would argue against the Catholic faith, we would all come back with and say the Protestant Church broke away from the true Church. So I really believe they didn’t like that answer so some historians or whatever, went looking for ways to disapprove it, which in fact they really haven’t. For example Catholics can trace our Pope’s back to Saint Peter, who we consider to be the first Pope. One thing they forgot to do, is discredit all the old churches that started with one of the twelve disciples of Jesus. They forgot all about them and I don’t know if they realised how similar our beliefs are to one another. Our ways being similar doesn’t surprise me, since they all learnt from the same Master, Jesus Christ. I believe the Catholic Faith is a continuation of the Jewish Faith, that is my personal opinion. The Protestant faith is so different in many ways from the older churches. To me that is evidence in itself why Protestants shouldn’t judge the Catholics as not being Christian. There are plenty of Protestants and Catholics that get on with one another and respect one another’s differences, which is the way it should be.  Mind you both Protestants and Catholics beliefs are about ninety eight percentage the same. People who argue against one another ignore that because, they are too busy fighting one another to hear one another out. The Holy Bible is the foundation on what both the Catholic and Protestant Churches beliefs based from. There are some verses in the Bible we interrupt differently.

I still believe Protestant have much to share with Catholics, but they too also have much to learn from us. If they had a clearer understanding how they misinterpret what is behind the actions of Catholic practises, they might even agree with the wisdom behind it. Samuel was told by God man judges by outward appearance, but God looks into the heart. I have studied this in people on every occasions to be so true. For example a Protestant sees a Catholic who say is going through a very hard time. The Protestant notice the person is never without her rosary beads. They conclude that she is turning to Mary and not God to solve her problems, which is far from the truth. When a devout Catholic is praying the rosary non stop, not only is she asking Mary to pray for her without ceasing and remember we believe Marys intercession is by far more powerful than our own, not only that, she is also meditating on the redemption of our souls. She is meditating either the Sorrowful, Joyful or the Glorious mysterious, which is ninety eight percentage wise, reflecting on what Jesus went through for our salvation. So without the Protestant realising it they imagine she is worshiping Mary. There is so much misunderstanding between the churches.

Satan is Working To Destroy Churches from Within

I believe Satan is doing everything possible to discredit the teachings of the Catholic Church, from working within the church itself. I remember when I was very young I went to a Catholic retreat, because I was considering to become a nun. Young women and men attended the retreat to find out more about the life of a religious and most of the guys were interested in becoming a priest. There were nuns and two priest leading the retreat. One of the priest was a very kind and holy man, but not the other one. I don’t know how I knew, except to say the Holy Spirit revealed to me, one of the priest was a Satan worshiper and he knew that I knew he was. He was so proud and was laughing at me and basically saying what can you do about it. Why I am bringing this up is how many evil people are wolves in sheep skins portraying as holy priest and pastors of God? I think there is a whole lot more going on than we realize is possible. And they are handpicked by Satan to destroy the churches from within. Anyhow his job was to select who will become a priest and who will not. So you can imagine what kind of men he would picked to enter in the priesthood.

What Does The Mother of God Actually MeanisVJF7ODZB

After my friend and I said the rosary, it was now no longer a mystery to her. She now knew clearly what the rosary was all about. And she now understood what the prayer ‘Hail Mary’ was about. The prayer has a history to it that many Protestants don’t know. And because they don’t know, Satan uses it against Catholics, so that people make wrong presumptions of what Catholics actually believe in. For example we say ‘Mary the mother of God.’ They don’t understand why Mary has this title, it is because there was a time in history that people were saying Jesus is not God. Christians all know Jesus is God the second person. But at this time in history people were refusing to believe it, so the Church wanted to clear this heresies up by saying Mary is the mother of Jesus who is God the second person.  We know Mary is not the mother of the Holy Trinity. But because people don’t know what we are actually saying they presume they know what we are actually saying. Like the human race we all have a tendency to see what we want to see, which is usually saying I am the superior one. Study people, most people are always running somebody down so that they can feel good about themselves.

A Need to Defend My Catholic Faith

After saying all that, I know there are very, very special Protestants out there that respect Catholics as a Christian. I have sisters that are Protestants and my father that I love very much was a Protestant and all the friends over many years God has given me, are mostly Protestants, so I am not against Protestants. Lately I have been very hurt by what some Protestants teachers and prophets what they are saying about Catholics. They are telling the world we are not even Christian. I have had Protestants friends that have told me. ‘I like you but I hate your church.’ How do you think that comes across? You love me but hate my family that have helped groomed me to be the person that I am, that you say you like. They don’t realize what they are saying. I know what I am saying is hurtful to some and I sure don’t want to hurt anybody, but I am hearing it all the time at the moment.

So I have a need to stick up for my faith that I love so much and thank God that God has lead me to this faith. My family background has taught me that both Protestants and Catholic have a great deal to offer one another if they are only willing to listen to one another. Catholics prophets that have warned against this current pope years before he came into being and saying he is going to do his best to break down the true Catholic teachings to complete heresies. He is going to divide the church of God. How sad.

The Fifteen Promises for those who recite the Rosary

isPLLWHJ3S

The Fifteen Promises for those who recite the Rosary.

These promises where given to Saint Dominic and Blessed Alain. I love the scriptural rosary best of all. I find I meditate on the mysteries of our redemption a lot better. Some people might object strongly to the ninth promise. It says if we say the rosary we will be delivered from purgatory. Many people think that is unscriptural, which I believe is very unfortunate, because many people are in purgatory longer than they need to be, because their love ones may believe they are safe in heaven. Since they don’t believe in purgatory they are not praying for their love ones release from such a terrible place.

Believe it or not most Christians after death go there, because they do not obey the commandment to love God with all their mind, body and strength. They may love God three quarters some even less, but very few love God with their all. Many visionaries are saying only twenty percent of Christians will met Jesus in the air when He comes for His church. Why only twenty percent, because eighty percent of Christians are basically living to please themselves, not God. And sometimes we don’t have enough faith to really believe God has forgiven us.

In Matthew 18:34 it mentions purgatory, it may not say purgatory, but Jesus is talking about it. Long story short a servant, because he refused to be merciful as his master was to him, was sent to be tortured for his behaviour until he paid the last penny he owed. In other words he was not to get out until he paid all his debt. Hell we know once we go to hell, we do not get out. And there is so many testimonies about people being free from purgatory from somebodies prayers, there is so much evidence if you care to look. I can tell you at least six of my own personal testimonies about purgatory, how my prayers have helped certain people in purgatory.

The thing is people are not always very flexible with their beliefs. They are not always listening to God but human pride. If you come from a different church, especially the Catholic Church, most people are not humble enough to at least look into it and find out from God, if the person is actually saying a truth. It gives Satan’s great pleasure to divided God’s church over and over again, so as to weaken it.

The fifteen promises are

  1. Whoever shall faithfully serve me by the recitation of the rosary, shall receive signal graces.
  2. I promise my special protection and the greatest graces to all those who shall recite the rosary.
  3. The rosary shall be a powerful armour against hell. It will destroy vices, decrease sin, and defeat heresies.
  4. It will cause virtue and good works to flourish; it will obtain for souls the abundant mercy of God; it will withdraw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means!
  5. The soul which recommends itself to me by the recitation of the rosary, shall not perish.
  6. Whoever shall recite the rosary devoutly, applying himself to the consideration of its sacred mysteries shall never be conquered by misfortune. God will not chastise him in His justice, and he shall not perish by an unprovided death; if he be just he shall remain in the grace of God and become worthy of eternal life.
  7. Whoever shall have a true devotion for the rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
  8. Those who are faithful to recite the rosary shall have during their life and at their death, the light of God and the fullness of His graces, and at them moment of death they shall participate in the merits of the saints in paradise.
  9. I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the rosary
  10. The faithful children of the rosary shall merit a high degree of glory in heaven
  11. You shall obtain all you ask of me by the recitation of the rosary.
  12. All those who propagate the holy rosary shall be aided by me in their necessities
  13. I have obtained from my Divine Son that all the advocates of the rosary shall have for intercessors the entire celestial court during their life and at the hour of death.
  14. All who recite my rosary are my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.
  15. Devotion of my rosary is a great sign of predestination

Catholic are often accused of worshiping Mary. Unfortunately some do, but they completely ignore the ones that don’t worship Mary, but see her as a spiritual Mother. Who has great influence on her Son, because of her faithfulness and complete surrender to Him while on earth? We all have great influence on Jesus if we surrender to Him, some more than others. Not because Jesus loves one more than the other, but simply some pleases Him more than others. The more you live for God, the more powerful your prayers become. Partly because the more you surrender to God your faith levels grow considerably as did Mary’s. Just because you die and then go to heaven, it doesn’t mean you stop working for God. Mary complains to the Fatima Children, ‘why do you keep me so idle.’ God has given her so much power to intercede for us, in other words she really knows the heart of her Son and knows how to pray far better than any of us. If you worship her you are in danger, but if you see her as a great master piece of God, who encourages us to grow in the faith, we too be able to really help out in heaven.

Why Catholics are Taught to Bless Mary

isVJF7ODZBI know a great many Protestants insist that all Catholics worship Mary. Unfortunately some do, but that is not part of the Catholic teaching. You are going astray if you worship Mary. Devout Catholics have a very intimate relationship with Mary. And that can be mistaken as worship. Why does Mary more likely appear to a Catholic than a Protestant. To be truthful Protestant are very nervous of having a relationship with Mary. They are basically been taught that is worship. And that is like a closed door, they will not let Mary enter in their lives. Some may be attracted to her from afar, but they won’t get close to her and so miss out on all that she has as the Mother of Our Lord has to offer them.

Why Ask Mary to Pray on Your Behalf

You might ask what Mary has got to offer you. You will be surprised, the more you honour her the closer she brings you to her Son. Some prayers believe it or not won’t get answered without Mary’s help. She speeds the answer to your prayers quicker than you can realise. Not only is she the Mother of Jesus Christ, she was the greatest Martyr other than Jesus Himself, who is our Saviour. The thing is we are called to be semi-saviours. Jesus has paid the whole price of our redemption, but not everybody has accepted it. So God calls us all to make sacrifices for souls who are lost to Him. This happens only if we unite our suffering with Jesus. It stands to reason we can suffer all we like and not be able to save ourselves never alone somebody else. If you offer yourself up as a victim for God, God quickly accepts it, I know because I did a couple of times and He never says no to that one. Because He is starving for His lost children. He wants them so badly. To help out is costly, but that too brings you much closer to Our Saviour. The more we help out, the greater our faith and love grows for God. So what I am saying, nobody is Marys equal; she has suffered more; love more and has the strongest faith in Jesus than anybody else.

We Call Mary Our Mother

Jesus has given her to us so that we can call her our Mother. It is His gift to us. She is more your mother than your earthly mother. Like Jesus would tell you she suffered more, to give birth to you than your earthly mother did. She has paid a higher price over you. And she loves you far more than your earthly mother does. Mary’s power to help, is God given. She has no power of her own, but because she was faithful in life she now rules in heaven as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. There is a lot of arguments about that. While people argue; Catholics are receiving visions of Mary as Mother and as the Queen of Heaven and Earth, all throughout Christian History. Miracles are happening by turning to her in prayer asking her to intercede on our behalf.

I Was Slow to Accept Mary as Mother

I had a problem accepting Mary as my mother well after becoming a Catholic. I have a favourite book called ‘He and i’ and every time I turn to that book to read, it keep falling on pages that Jesus would say repeatedly ask My Mother. Over and over again, until I got fed up and so I said “All right!” I have been praying this certain prayer for years and years when I asked Mary  I got a ‘yes’ straight away. She spoke to me and she was closer to me than I was to myself. So close that it scared me and she spoke so loudly and her voice was crystal clear and very beautiful. Many and many people will give testimony to Mary’s response to prayer.

Luke 1:48. For he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant, from now on all generations will call me blessed.

is2C12MD3ZAll the old churches that claim to be started by a disciple do bless Mary and honour her, it is just the Protestant that think it is a form of worship.

Consecration to Jesus and Mary

My favourite prayer book has a prayer that I am just started saying. It is a prayer of consecration to Jesus Christ, The incarnate wisdom, through the Blessed Virgin Mary. I have had this book for about forty years. I kept away from this prayer, because you are offering yourself to Jesus and Mary as their slave. I didn’t have any problems calling myself a servant but I had great problems humbling myself an acknowledging that I am a slave first. God raises the humble. If you want to be great in Heaven than you have to consider yourself the least. So I am just starting to be comfortable with the word slave. Since I have been saying it I am getting even closer to Mary. I feel she is helping me even more.

One paragraph I really like goes like this; O admirable Mother, present me to thy dear Son as His eternal slave, so that as He has redeemed me by thee, by thee He may receive me! O Mother of mercy, grant me the grace to obtain the true Wisdom of God; and for that end receive among those whom thou lovest and teachest, or whom thou leadest, nourishes and protectest as thy children and thy slaves.

When we say things like grant us grace or wisdom or whatever we are saying pray for us so that we may receive these things. We are not saying she has the ability by herself to provide for us. We believe she has great influence on her Son. Jesus finds her irresistible, He can’t resist her request. Jesus has said this to many visionaries.

A Intercessory Prayer of the Sacred Heart

I have a prayer book that I really value. I have bought the book time and time again, because they keep wearing out, I love using them that much. It is full of prayers that mostly Jesus has given to different saints over the time. The book is called ‘The Pieta Prayer Book.’ You can buy it over the internet and the book doesn’t cost that much. One prayer I readapt to suit my own needs and I was shown God was so pleased with it. He showed me a vision that if you offer up the Sacred Heart up for anything at all, He will always accept it. He showed me God the Father was so happy to receive the Sacred Heart that He said yes even without looking at the prayer that  Jesus was offering through His Sacred Heart on our behalf.  Naturally Jesus knows the prayers God the Father will accept. He will never offer His own Heart to something that is not pleasing to God the Father. God loves to give His children their hearts desire providing it is not harmful to them. God knows when it is the right time to give it to you too.

The prayer starts with

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Sacred Heart of Jesus, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits……. make your request.

I say this prayer over and over again using the rosary beads. Years later I changed it by saying it this way.

Eternal Daddy, I love you, I offer up the Sacred Heart of Y’shua, with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits…….

I have found Jesus’s real name in Hebrew is Y’shua, so I like to use it as often now as I can.

Another Time I Was Praying

God put it to me one day while I was praying that when you are asking for a favour from Him, saying these words first before your request adds strength to the prayer and that is.

‘May we be made worthy of ….

So Here is an Example of a Prayer You May Wish to Say

Eternal Daddy, I love you, I offer up the Sacred Heart of Y’shua with all its love, all its sufferings and all its merits that we may be made worthy of being found ready when you come for us. Amen

Confession is Now Called Reconcilliation

I prefer to use the word confession for some reason, so I will use that word rather than what most people are using which is reconciliation. I am very out of date with these kinds of things. I want to draw your attention to it and why Catholic practise it. Many Protestant disagree with it. And I did too when I was a Protestant. The thing is God was very gracious to me, because He granted me a grace to show me God is truly present in the priest during confession. When the priest absolves your sins, he is doing it through the grace God has given to all His priest. It is not the priest that absolves you from your sins, it is Jesus that is working in him, and through him.

Before I could join the Catholic Church there was no way around it, I had to say my confession before I was allowed to be confirmed into the Catholic Church. When I finished my confession, the priest then spoke the words of absolution. I felt and saw the grace called sanctification and it was so strong! Pouring out of the priest mouth and onto me. There was no way I could deny it.

is(10)Another thing that really impressed me was, the particular church I use to go to; the one that I grew up in; I never heard the word sanctification before, it was a new word for me. Yet while the priest spoke, the exact word came to me and I knew what it meant. The priest didn’t say the word, it was the Holy Spirit that said it. I have had other experiences from God teaching me that He is truly present in a priest while he is listening to our confessions. I don’t understand why Protestants find it so difficult to believe?  They know that Jesus lives in all born again Christians. why wouldn’t He live in a priest especially while the priest is conducting a service on God’s behalf? It is not the priest ability to free us from our sins, it is a grace that God has given to them for our benefit. It is very similar to the belief that Jesus has given us His authority to heal the sick, cast out devils and so on in His name.

I really wish Protestants would read of the countless testimonies that Catholics have reported over the centuries. I believe most Protestant would see Catholics beliefs with new eyes. There are always sceptics that can’t believe in anything, but if you are one with God you do sense His Spirit present when people of God are giving their testimonies of their experiences of Him. Because the Spirit of Truth comes from God and can be sensed by people who can discern Him.

Ask God When You Are in Doubt

I firmly believe what God says to a Protestants and Catholics are sometimes different things, because God knows what you are open too and can handle. And He does not force new teachings on you if you are not willing to learn from Him. You can always ask God to open your eyes so that you can understand truths that you don’t understand or have not yet been introduced to. You can guarantee, like all of us, we don’t know as much as we think we do. We in fact know so little about God and His ways. We are always learning new secrets about God.

I believe without a doubt in heaven we will keep learning for the whole of eternity, and it would be such a joy to learn about how wonderful God is. Jesus said ‘seek and you shall find.’ I don’t think many Christians really seek out the truth in real earnest that much, we are so sure we know it all. We are all too proud to listen to what God is saying through people that we consider ourselves superior too. God shares His secrets to the humble. He raises the lowly and humbles the proud. We must pray for humility all the time, if we want to recognise what God is saying in people. Some of us are blocking God’s will for ever happening, because we are so sure we are right and everybody else is wrong. I believe Protestants and Catholic both have something to give one another, because God does talk to both of us. Always has.

Reasons for Going to Confession

James 1:5. If you need wisdom ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

My mother had a vision once. She was a Catholic from birth, but she didn’t understand the reason why Catholics had to go to confession. Her argument was if we repent of our sins and believe that Jesus has paid the price for our sins on the cross, why should we have to go to confession? It is basically what Protestants believe. She asked God and Jesus appeared to her and He was not angry with her for asking Him, nor was He upset of her ignorance. He was smiling at her and said ‘it is because you don’t believe, that you need to go to confession.’

isW102ZQ1LLet’s be honest how many Christians can honestly say they believe with all their hearts God forgives all their sins. Despite the fact we believe Jesus died for us, our faith levels are not always perfect. We have to deal with Satan for one thing, trying to convince us constantly that God doesn’t love us and He will not forgive that sin. The one that we worry about the most, the one that keeps coming back and haunting us. That is why Jesus said to my mother you need to go to confession, because you don’t believe I love you enough to forgive you.

After you go to confession you do feel like a load has been lifted off your shoulders and sometimes you experiences a miracle for going, because God is so please that you have confess a sin that was particularly hard for you. God does bless us when we go to confession. It is also very humbling to tell a priest about your sins. There are sins you don’t want to tell anybody especially to a priest. I know one priest complain to me, about priest having to go to confession because they have to go to one another to confess their sins. In other words he was saying it is much harder for them, because they know one another and have to work with one another.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Powerful prayers to remember. Some people might be confused why Catholics refer to Mary as the Mother of God. There was a time in history when people were saying that Jesus was just a man and not God, so the church gave Mary that title to cancelled out that lie. The church was saying is still saying Jesus is God as well as man. Jesus is the second person in the Holy Trinity. We have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three person but one God. The best way to explain it is you are one person, but people relate to you differently on each role, for example the role of a offspring, parent, and  sibling, you are the same person but you have these different roles.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

On the Medal of Our Lady (the medal that begins the circle of the beads, not from the crucifix)

You say

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Then say one Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death. Amen

Then say the Apostle Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins and the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

Then you say on the medal of Our Lady, that beings the circle of rosary beads and from then on the bead that stands alone.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Thy Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Then you say on all the ten beads in a row, in other words the beads that you would normally say Hail Mary.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

You finish the prayer by saying three times.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

An Ancient Prayer of the First Century Christians

This prayer is absolutely beautiful, I found it in a small book called ‘The Pieta Prayer Book’ that you can buy on the internet. People believe this prayer was said fiftieth years of Our Lord, Jesus Christ. I have said it off an on for years and it gives you a greater appreciation of Saint Joseph and a warm love for Jesus. According to oral tradition, people who basically pray it or hear it read will not die of a sudden death, drowned, poison won’t take an effort, or be burned in any fire, or will fall into the hands of their enemies or be defeated in battle. I think you really have to pray this prayer daily for all these promises to be fulfilled. Having the Statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus for example have very beautiful promise for those who honour it in their homes. The things is people will get the statue and totally ignore it and then expect protection, that is not what God means, the statue is suppose to remind you every time you look at it to think of Jesus’ love for you and so many people do not but expect all the favours God promises as if they do.

So I believe this prayer is meant to be said daily really if you want all that it promises to happen. It is said if you say this prayer every day for nine days, your prayer will be answered. Once again it is common sense to realise if the prayer answered is going be harmful to you in the long run it won’t be answered. Saint Joseph knows the prayers that please God and the ones that will give Him glory.

The Prayer of Saint Joseph      is(2)

O St. Joseph, whose protection is so great, so strong, so prompt before the throne of God, I place in you all my interest and desires……..(make your request here)…..

O St. Joseph, do assist me by your powerful intercession and obtain for me from your Divine Son all spiritual blessings through Jesus Christ, Our Lord; so that having engaged here below your heavenly power, I may offer my thanksgiving and homage to the most loving of Fathers. O St. Joseph, I never weary contemplating you and Jesus asleep in your arms. I dare not approach while He reposes near your heart. Press Him in my name and kiss His fine Head for me, and ask Him to return the kiss when I draw my dying breath. St. Joseph, patron of departing souls, pray for me. Amen.

The last bit would of have been added on at a later date, I would say, regarding to Saint Joseph being the patron saints of departing souls.

Differences such as the Crucifix compared to the empty Cross

When I was a Presbyterian at church one day I remember Our Minister was explaining defensively why our new church had a large cross at the pulpit. Presbyterians I have been told are the true Protestant Church, because it is in fact the complete opposite from the Catholic Church in many ways. Presbyterians at that time, I don’t know if it still applies, but definitely in those days they didn’t even consider a cross should be placed inside of a church was the correct thing to do. I don’t understand why not. Most Protestants don’t wear a crucifix for example they concentrate on the Resurrection, they say Jesus is now off the cross, He has paid for our sins, so they don’t have crucifixes at all, and they sometimes wear plain crosses instead of crucifixes. Many Catholics on the other hand will wear a crucifix or have a crucifix hanging up on their walls. So they can meditate on the price Jesus has paid for us often. A crucifix is a cross with a figure of Jesus stretched out on it. Devout Catholics want to keep in mind the cost Jesus suffered, so we can really meditate and appreciate what we owe Him. When we do this often, it strengthens our faith and love for Him.

A friend buys a Crucifix

One of my Protestants friends, when she visits my place she often admires my altar. On top of my altar I have a crucifix hanging on the wall. One day she rang me and she was going through a hard time and said that she wishes she had a crucifix like I did. So I invited her to go to a Catholic shop with her where she could buy herself one, which she did. She rang me another day upset because one of her Protestant friends saw her crucifix and was worried about me leading her astray and told her that Jesus has rosed from the dead and that He is not on the cross any more. She said ‘she doesn’t understand how much comfort I get out of seeing the crucifix.’ She said ‘it reminds me every time I see it that Jesus truly loves me and that He has paid for all my sins.’ She was at that time in great need of reinforcing her faith, because the devil was tormenting her so much. I told her that it is important to remember and meditate on the Resurrection, but it is also important to remember how Jesus died for our sins. So that we can have a greater appreciation of what He did for us. Then she picked up and said ‘they are both just as important as each other.’ I said ‘yes.’ People can get so technical or another word for it may be legalistic about their beliefs that they can’t see the forest for the trees, so as to block God’s will from ever happening.

Religious Pictures and Statues

I remember the days when I was a Presbyterian, it was considered wrong to have a picture of Jesus hanging on your wall. It was considered to be idolatry to have a picture of Him. I think back now and wonder if that is how they truly saw it, then the same rule should also had been applied to the pictures that are in their photo albums and the pictures they have of their love ones hanging on their walls. We all love photos of people we love and when we look at them they bring back beautiful memories, especially if they are no longer with us. Pictures of Jesus and the saints, whom we consider our brothers and sisters in Christ, we should have a need to hang their pictures on our walls too. If you truly love Jesus and the people who have truly served Him in their lives, their pictures has the same kind of effect on us as pictures of our love ones have. It makes us feel close to them and because we see them hanging there so often we keeping thinking of them. In just the same way you do with any picture of a family member. This also applies to statures of Jesus and the saints. They have even a greater effect on us. And God does use them many times. There have been so many times when God has used the stature of Mary for instances to draw people’s attention to the times we are living in and warning us to repent. One statue of Mary is known to move her eyes and lips and other statues have been known to weep oil etc. Of course some of those statures are fakes but not all of them. It is important to keep God in your mind all the time. We are suppose to be in love with Him. When people are in love they think of their love one all the time. Pictures and statues help us do that.

Many times God will use them to any person at all, who looks at them reflecting on the person the statues represents. The greater the love and the greater the affection we have for the person it represents the more likely God will use it to bring us even closer to Himself-God. When we look at the picture or statue of Jesus we think of Jesus’s great love for us and all the sacrifices He made for us and how we best can please Him in our day to day life. When we look at pictures or statues of Saints we look at it with affection for the Saints it represents, for how they brought us closer to God, through their examples of their lives that showed us the way to Jesus. Or maybe we are considering the many times they have answered our prayers by interceding to God on our behalf. I remember a friend of mine many years ago had so much faith in Saint Anthony prayers, because He always helped her to find things and so many times it would be done in such a way that it was a miracle, an answer to prayer.

Confusion about the use of Statues

Protestants are often confused about Catholics kneeling in front of a statue and actually believe we are worshiping the statue. That is far from the truth. We are intelligent enough to know a statue is only a statue. We are kneeling at what the statue represents. If it is a statue of Jesus we are worshiping Jesus not His statue. If we are kneeling in front of the statue of Mary or a saint we are showing our respect and are honouring them for their services to God in their life time. And we are also acknowledging for example that they are now reigning with Jesus in heaven as it is written in the bible. We will all reign with Him in heaven if we are faithful to Him on earth. They have made it! We are still on our journey to heaven and we are asking them to pray for us, to help us get there. It is an ancient custom to kneel before another, showing both humility and respect for the other person. It has never meant worship in the past and it still does not mean worship now unless you are kneeling before God, which Jesus is the second person of God. If we look at an example of an old ancient custom such as a man proposing to a woman for her hand in marriage, he would get down on his knees to do this. The woman and the man knew he wasn’t worshiping her, he was showing her that he respected her and he was going to be a good husband for her, which of course was not always the case. It was an act of humility. Humility is not honoured much these days and often when people kneel in front of a statue some people consider the person is worshiping the statue or the person the statue represents.

A fine line between honouring and worshiping a saint

There is a fine line sometimes between honouring and worshiping a saint. I am talking about mature Catholics that know the difference. Because some people go too far with their devotion of a saint, doesn’t mean all Catholics do. Some people will look at for example all the hypocrites that call themselves Christians regardless of what denomination they belong to, and then say all Christians are like that. We know that is not true. Sometimes I think it is a cover up to excuse themselves from following Christ, even when they know He is the true Messiah. And I believe deep down they know Jesus expects us to behave differently from what the many so called Christians are. Only a few Christians stay on the straight and narrow road that leads to eternal life. The visionaries are saying when Jesus comes for His Church at the rapture, only twenty percent of people who call themselves Christians will be ready to go with Him. So let’s be warned and do everything we can to get ready. Lets take the bible seriously and start acted out what Jesus has taught us.
