Kneeling before God

Every knee shall bow at the name of Jesus when He shows Himself to the world. Some will kneel out of fear and others will kneel out of complete adoration of Him. In our prayer time I believe not many of us are willing to kneel before Him. I believe the church has become complacent. The fear of the Lord for the most part, I don’t believe is present that much. We need to have a Holy fear of the Lord, because sometimes God wants us to do something we don’t want to do. Sometimes it is the fear of God that gives us, the drive to obey Him. It is not always love.

As you get older some of you won’t be able to kneel. Your legs might not be strong enough and you wish you could. I have problems kneeling, but I am fortunate enough to be able to prostrate on the ground before Him. God deserves adoration, He deserves acknowledgement that He is God and made us in His image out of His love for us. We need to humble ourselves before Him and kneeling before Him is something He is asking of us. Especially during these times. I am lazy by nature, but I also know I am an overcomer as we all are in Christ Jesus.

Sometimes there is an absolute fight for me to get down on my face to worship God. One thing that motivates me is that I know I will be rewarded for eternity. I am working for eternity for souls that won’t go to heaven without extra help from us. I know I am giving God extra pleasure in the souls that I bring to Him through prostrating in prayer. I try to prostrate thirty minutes of the day. At the moment it works out to be about four times a week. So you see I am still working on my laziness. It is a fight because not only do I find I am restless prostrating, I am praying in tongues, which I also find a challenge to do. I like to know what I am praying about and when you speak in tongues, most of the time you don’t know. After doing this I always feel victorious.

One of my prayers, is to become mighty in the kingdom of God and bring many more souls to God and they also become mighty in the kingdom of God. To be mighty means you overcome great obstacles and win over them for God. I pray for everybody in this era to become mighty. We are living in the most important time in history and I see no reason why not to pray huge. I don’t just want to praying big, but enormously asking God to manifest His glory like He has never done before. Making a whole generation mighty, hasn’t been done before. When I prayed “not just me and a few others, but we all be great and have such intimacy for you God…” Gods reply to me was “that’s what I like to see, no comparison. You will have your way.”

Get down on your knees and pray while you still have a chance and start praying for the impossible to happen. Pray for God to do things more powerful than He has ever done and I know He will. Because there has never been a time like this in history. Make sure what you are praying for is in alignment with His will. The bible speaks plainly of His will.

James 5:16. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

2 Samuel 22:36. You have given me Your shield of victory; Your help has made me great.

Matthew 6: 33. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

First seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Allow God to direct your prayer and be sure of this, Gods dream is bigger than yours. That is what God has told me. I can’t dream bigger enough for Him

You can make life more difficult than need be

Matthew 11:29-30. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.

The message I am trying to get across today is that, life can be difficult. We have to die to our flesh every day. In other words discipline ourselves in our walk with God. But we have a choice to make. We can make things harder for ourselves by complaining or we die to ourselves loving God. In that way our burdens are made light, because we take on the yoke of Jesus, which is love. Love makes a whole lot of difference to the outcome of anything. Love lightens and soften attitudes, which brings about joy even in our sufferings. Doing things just out of duty is not of love. We have to serve God from love.

Another thing we ourselves become more likeable, brighter, happier, because we don’t give in to gloom and doom. Most people don’t like mixing with others who have a low view of everything and even people with a low self-esteem. So we have to learn we are somebody very special in the eyes of God. That He values us enough to send His Son from paradise to this awful place and die for us in our stead. Not to love ourselves or others is an insult to God. We are made fearfully and wonderfully says the bible.

Thanks to God, His merciful love loves to lavish us with His gifts and His presence as well as training us in holiness. Being a Christian is not always hard work, there is plenty of fun too. But we are in this world and we need to address the times when we are going through a hard patch as well or we won’t know what hit us.

Serve God His Way

Matthew 7:14. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Serving God out of love doesn’t mean it is going to be all sweetness and joy. We have to die to our flesh every single day of our lives. And that is not easy. What do I mean by dying to the flesh? I mean the flesh wants to do everything that doesn’t cost anything to itself. It wants the easy way out. The flesh is very demanding, like a spoilt brat. It is selfish in all its ways and has very low standards morally. There is a war on constantly for the believer in Christ Jesus to discipline themselves in the ways of God.

Matthew 11:29-30. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and My burden is light.

While serving God can be difficult, Jesus tells us, in my way of thinking – do it His way. What was difficult to do, becomes enjoyable, because instead of concentrating how difficult a thing is, we keep our eyes on Jesus. As a result, He gives us the grace to do what seemed impossible to do.

God is also very forgiving for the many, many times we fail Him, if we truly have a repented heart. So we can rest in Jesus, because of the trust we have in Him.

Many Christians love talking about Gods love, mercy and forgiveness, but few are willing to put the hard work in dying to self. It’s when we die to ourselves, all the God given benefits come. Such as we become more like Him every day, accordingly to how much we are willing to discipline ourselves out of love for Him. To be like Jesus, the miracles also come as well as imitating His nature.

Not to Idolise Anybody

There are many idols in this world. Anything you treat with affection above God, is an idol. We know that, but sometimes we have idols in our life and not know it. I found myself being corrected by God because I wasn’t happy with the way I prayed compared to somebody else, as if their prayers were more powerful than mine. God told me that wasn’t so. He told me on no account must you idolise another. We know actors, singers and sports people get idolised, but it seems they aren’t the only ones we glorify more than they deserve. So this is a gentle reminder to look into your heart to see what or who you give into idol worship to. It is something we don’t want to own up to. If we let God uncover our sins and allow Him to work on us and correct us, we are set free indeed. God is so forgiving and tender hearted that there is no shame attached to His forgiveness. We immediately feel our burden lifted and so loved. So don’t be unkind to yourself and allow God to wash you clean of all sin, not just idol worship.

Idol worship is a form of Satan worship. That might sound too hard to accept, but God is strong on worshiping Him only, that anything else is in fact serving Satan knowingly or unknowingly. All those false gods that other people worship in other religions are true identities. They are not gods but fallen angels that want to be worshiped as a god. You only have to ask a former Hindu person who has now found Christ will naturally explain things better than I would. They do get punished by these identities if they disobey them.

Satan is very sneaky. New Age practises seems harmless at first, but Satan isn’t going to tell you upfront, that you are going in the wrong direction, will he? He is going to make it look harmless, friendly and full of benefits that will entice you in. I use to practise reading tarot cards for about twenty years and be a Christian at the same time. I really believed there was nothing wrong with it. One day I finally got the message it was wrong, I got rid of all my tarot cards and books. And I am now happy to say I am a lot better off without them. I use to ask a question if something I was planning to do, was going to be a wise move or not. The cards will say it would be a fantastic move, then I would go ahead and do it and from then on the tarot cards would say it was the worst move I could have made. So it was tormenting. Now I just ask God and He gives me good directions. Satan is a copy-cat. He will never waltz in and say I am the devil. New Age which is witchcraft, is welcome in most churches today. Of course that is going to upset God. God is a very jealous God. God has just told me the punishment is so great in worshiping idols. Be brave and have a loving look into yourself and see if there is any false gods in your life. Ask God to reveal them and He will with great love for you. He will help you to remove them. Make God number one in your life and all will go well with you. Jesus says first seek the kingdom of heaven and all things will be given to you. New Age may promise you things but it will back fire.

God Abides in Us

John 14:20. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

When I first understood that God lives in me, I was shocked. At first it sounded blaspheme. But there it is in the Bible. When you grow with this knowledge it gives you a completely different view of God and yourself. God actually lives in a born again Christian. Jesus said when a man and a woman become husband and wife they become one body. The mystical marriage of Jesus and His bride the church is like that. We become one with God. We are never equal to God, but Gods’ energy and His attributes and His Spirit flows through us and in us according to how much we have surrendered to Him. Jesus is the vine and we are His branches. We become His feet and hands to serve Him as He pleases.

John 15:4-5.Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

If you allow yourself to believe God wants to be one with you. You can understand faith healers and miracle workers better. God’s Spirit is in them flowing through them, if they remain humble before God and know without Jesus they can do nothing, they can do great works in His Name. When we allow Gods’ Spirit to speak through us, we have the power in us to touch hearts, because it is God who is in us working through us, not us. When people get this knowledge and understand it, it can do either of two things. 1. Become proud and start to think they are better than other people and equal to God, or secondly become humble and therefore God will use them, because they will give God all the glory.

John 14:23. Jesus answered and said to him, if anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him.

What a promise. Don’t be afraid to believe God wants to make His home in you. Our bodies are the Temple of The Holy Spirit. We are truly precious in His eyes. We should never doubt His love for us.

Agree to Disagree

Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all our ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

We are living in a time of confusion and it will increase as many people lean on their own understanding and not trust the Lord with all their heart. It is easy done. We are told by the world over and over again to listen to it and not look to God for the answers. God does talk to you. Not everybody hears God audibly, but in our spirit which is one with Gods (that is if we are born again Christians) sense the truth and the paths God wants us to follow. More we obey and listen to the Spirit of God within us, the stronger we will be able to sense what He is saying to us.

Many people disagree with one another on the interpretation of different parts of the Bible. The important thing is learning to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying and don’t rely on your own logic so much. The Bible is a living book. Sometimes passages of scripture will jump at you or manifest in some other way that you clearly know the Holy Spirit is talking to you. Many people believe if it is not in the bible it is not true. For example there are certain miracles that are happening that people think are all fake, because they are not found in the Bible. I don’t agree with that. I go one step further, there is a prophetess who goes by the name ‘Maria Divine Mercy’ who has said that God is going to add a few more books onto the Bible of the last days. Why I believe this to be so, is because we are moving into incredible times. Never like in all history. I believe there are going to be greater miracles happening in these last days. Greater than what is recorded in the Bible already and new revelations leading up to the Second Coming and after.

John 14:12. Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

These greater works are just starting to happen in my opinion, but I believe even greater works are coming to the body of Christ in the future.

We have to learn to agree to disagree peacefully and lovingly at times. We shouldn’t get so upset with one another if we don’t see eye to eye with one another. Of course there will be people who will choose to deliberately twist the Bible message to something that is not, but I am not referring to them, but honest people who are seeking truth.

My concern is we should love one another and keep trying to improve our relationship with God and one another. Arguing about who is right and who is wrong, is not going to help us but divide us. A house divided will not stand as scripture tells us. We need unity more now than ever before. We have to be in unity to fight this battle that is here already. So we have to agree to disagree peacefully on many issues in our lives if we are to become overcomers in this war. No two Christians are going to think alike, we are all different, but we all belong to Christ if we genuinely seek to please God in everything.

Humility

If we are faithful to God, we are always calling on God to purify us, so that we become more like Christ every day. Jesus has told us that He is humble and meek of heart. I remember when I was young I didn’t know what humility was. Long story short, God put me in a position that I felt like people were using me and I was so angry with them. While I was in that state God put it to my mind that I wasn’t acting in a humble manner towards them. Then the light dawn on me. I knew what humility wasn’t so it must be the opposite. Humility is often portrayed as being weak and letting people walk all over them. I see it as love and truth walking hand in hand with one another. Somebody else might have a better description of it. When you humble and somebody gives you a compliment your head doesn’t swell up with pride. It can handle a compliment and give God the glory, knowing the grace came from God so you could act out in a way that was pleasing.

When you see a humble person, you might be shocked that they can say things that doesn’t sound humble to you, because humble people can stand up for themselves and tell the opponent an unpleasant truth. The difference with a humble person speaking truth to someone, from a person who does it in a prideful manner, the humble person is doing it out of love. And they hate having to rebuke a persons’ action. The proud will do it to make themselves look better and superior to the person they are talking down to. The proud person just looks mean. If we look at Jesus, He didn’t always say what people wanted to hear from Him either. Jesus doesn’t enjoy correcting us at all and nor does anybody truly follow Him enjoys it either. Correction is done out of love, knowing too that they are also a sinner who needs correction from time to time. A humble person welcomes correction, because they want to be more like Christ to please God.

Being humble is a challenge for us, because being prideful is a weakness in the human race and Satan is for ever tempting us to go the way of pride. When we humble ourselves, so many beautiful things happen, we find we are closer to God and our relationship with Him is warmer. We seem to pray with a lot more confidence. The humble grow in all things that Christ has to offer them. They become more childlike in faith, hope and love. I certainly wish to grow in humility. Like I said it is a battle, we have Satan on our backs trying to turn us away from all that God has to offer. So I beg pardon that preaching it is easy to do, practising it I find it is just as much a challenge to me as it for many people. The more you look into humility the more fascinating it is. God reveals secrets to the humble not the proud. The humble walk in the presence of God. Humble people know the difference between hatred and love.

Matthew 23:12. And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Matthew 18:4. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Tithing Cheerfully

2 Corinthians 9:7. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.

When somebody gives us a present or money even, grudgingly we would feel insulted, wouldn’t we? Chances are we wouldn’t want to receive that gift, because of the hurt it causes in our hearts. If on the other hand somebody gives it to us cheerfully it warms and excites us. And every time we see that gift popping up, our minds turns back to the person who gave it to us with loving kindness. We are made in the image of God. (Not our sins.) If we are hurt and insulted by it, we shouldn’t be surprise that is how God also feels like when we give grudgingly. Think of it this way, God has given us so much including sending His Son Jesus to die a cruel death so that we maybe save and become kings in heaven and in return we are so mean, we don’t want to thank Him by giving Him back even a little of what God originally has given us in the first place.

Matthew 25:35. “For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink. I was a stranger and you took Me in.”

Think about it, when we are helping somebody else we are ministering to Jesus. That is a huge honour to be used by God. Also we are suppose to give and not be puffed up about it. We are simply doing what a good steward of God does. Obeying Him and loving our neighbour as ourselves. If somebody gives us something we needed that we know costs them an arm and a leg, wouldn’t we feel so grateful to them, and want to repay them back some way? That is how God feels when we go the extra mile. The more difficult it is in giving the more it touches God’s heart. When God is touched like that He is definitely going to outdo us in generosity. Also our God is not poor, that He can’t afford to be so generous that it blows our minds away.

Luke 6:38. “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

So God will open His hand in giving only if we open our hand first, especially if we do it out of a cheerful heart. God is a great big God, whose treasures never runs out. He is more generous and wealthy than any of us.

There is a saying I heard many years ago. “If you look after God’s interest, He will look after yours.” Maybe not in the way we are expecting, but as we are in need of. God will look after His own, most surely. Make sure you give to those, who God is calling you too. People who come around knocking at your door for example is often the one God has send you to help. If you plough your money or your gifts into people who are ploughing it straight back into the kingdom of God, is a good place to start. Money shouldn’t be our everything! Money can’t take the place of God. God can look after us with or without money. First seek the kingdom of heaven above everything else and then like the scripture says all things will be given to you.

We must examine our hearts every day, to see if our motives are pure and acceptable to God.
