I find books of Bible Promises can really be helpful. They are small books full of God’s promises that you may need during different periods of your life. I want to concentrate on trust in God, because many Christians get attack with thoughts they are not good enough to go to heaven or be raptured on that great day, when our Lord comes to take us. All God wants is our faithfulness and that includes repentance. Yesterday I wrote down some of the many things I needed to repented off. It started out difficult, thinking will I be sorry enough about my sins, to be forgiven. Then I became confidence that God really forgives so simply and truly wipes away all sins the moment you repent. Once you start God helps, because He sees you are truly making an effort. You do what you can and then God always meets you halfway, and do what you can’t. Here are some beautiful promises of God.
I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation. Psalm 13:5
Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:8
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Psalm 37:5
In God I trust I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me? Psalm 56:11
Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation. Isaiah 12:2
It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes. Psalm 118:9
Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abides forever. Psalm 125:1
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3:5
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
