Do You Need Somebody to Pray for You?

Speaking in Tongues

I am leading up to something, so please be patient with me. I have been praying in tongues faithfully for about a couple of months now. I say about half an hour in the mornings and off and on during the day. The Holy Spirit is prophesying in me. I am allow allowed to understand in part I think. It refers to my calling to suffer a future cross that has been worrying me for a while so I have prayed real hard that I will be able to endure it. Then for about the last week it has moved onto another cross I believe God wants me to carry straight after it. It seems that there is an enormous resistance coming from me. One of the reasons I believe the word crazy keeps coming up and I think it means this cross, many people are going to think I am crazy and the other thing is that I am told I am lazy. I love prayer and writing, but what He is going to want from me in the future is a completely different direction, in another country and living in a city that I don’t want to go. I hear the word Marie a great deal. I believe it is referring to Mary the Mother of Jesus. Her original name is not Mary as we know it, but Miriam. Mary and Marie and there is so many more names that come from Miriam.

I believe the Holy Spirit is saying to me only through calling on her intercession I will be able to endure and receive the grace to overcome my weakness so that I can fulfil the destiny that God wants me to accomplish. I eventually accepted the call that I will live in the city that I really don’t want to live. And I believe Jesus smiled at me affectionately as if to say He is pleased with me for accepting my calling. It was only a slight presence and when it is a slight presence I am not always sure if it is Him or not.

So What is this All About?

So what is this all about? Once again the closer you come to God the more light enters in you and you see more things about yourself that you don’t like. If you saw them before you are now going to see them even more clearly. I know I have always had a problem with laziness when it involves doing things I don’t like. And I am so sensitive what people think of me that it stops me from doing things that God wants me to do. I have been praying for months and months now that I make up a lifetime of waste in the little time I have left, like my earthy father did. I believe God wants to answer that prayer for all of us. I have been praying for all of us that this too will happen, but don’t worry God will want your permission first. This is what this whole week has been about, God trying to get permission from me to do His will on this matter.

Becoming More Like Christ is Going to Cost

The problem is growing and coming closer to God is going to cost. The higher we want to come to Him the more we have to resemble His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus died a terrifying death to save us. So to really follow Christ very closely means we are going to have to be like Him not only in virtue, but in suffering for our fellow man’s salvation. To do that we are going to need a great deal of help and prayers from people who are keener to get us there than we are. This is another reason why I believe in the communion of saints. They do know the reward far better than any of us, because they have travelled that road before us and are now reaping the rewards and have receive their crowns of victory. We can’t do this on our own. We all need help. And sometimes there is no one around or strong enough to help us.

is1DPX2JISMary is the most powerful of all the saints, because she has suffered more than anybody. St. Teresa led an ordinary Christian life for forty year of her life, than she was blessed by God and became a contemplative. This is a supernatural gift. She was ordered by a bishop to write a book on her experiences. I bet you would not understand a word she is saying but feel the love coming off the pages that’s what happen to me when I first read her book. The book is way too spiritual for people who are not gifted in contemplation at that level. The point she made was, while she lived the ordinary life of a Christian the suffering she said was nothing like the suffering she than experienced as a contemplative. The more spiritual you become, the closer you are to God, and the suffering is different in nature. Besides all the ordinary suffering you have to deal with in life, you now have to suffer on a supernatural level. Mary is more spiritual than any of us put together. And she loves her Son with far more intimacy than any of us. So Mary’s prayers are so much more powerful than we can imagine. And the Holy Spirit is saying to me I have to call on Mary a great deal more than I am, because it is going to be her prayers that will get me through the trials that awaits me.

I believe a great many people will object to what I have said here. Jesus has paid the full price of our Redemption and has paid totally for us to receive all the graces we need in life. God loves us working together with His Son. And He loves it when we work together as one body, the body of Jesus Christ.

How Many People are in Need of Prayer?

Look around, how many people know Jesus? How many need powerful prayers to be either converted or saved or the grace to come back to Him? How many of us need real help to get out of the situation we find ourselves in and there is no one to help us. Our prayers are answered according to our faith. If we have weak faith and a very massive problem and no one or nobody who has a strong enough faith to help us. This is where the communion of saints really helps out. And out of all the saints Mary the Mother of Jesus loves you the most, because she has suffered for you the most and therefore her prayers to God on our behalf is very powerful. You have to do your part, by praying how long it takes with passion, from your heart. If you pray without any concentration of who you praying to then of course it won’t be heard. When people talk to us, they too want our complete attention also, it is only natural.

is(2)When we say ‘I prayed to Mary about such and such a things.’ We are not referring to worshiping her like so many people think. Praying is simply talking or communicating to somebody who is no longer living on this earth, but are in heaven.  When we say pray to Mary we are saying to Mary pray to Our Heavenly Father or Jesus on our behalf. We don’t expect Mary to work as a goddess, we expect her to act as an intercessor. She has power, like we all will when we are in heaven. The power God has given us on earth in Jesus Name, is nothing compared to the saints that have passed the test and now living in heaven. Even so as we grow and call on God with faith we have the power in Jesus Name to cast out devils, heal the sick, and perform creative miracles. And it also depends on what calling God has given us to do, will determine what gifts He wants you to have. Mary has all the gifts far greater than any other saint. God has given us these gifts because of the sacrifice Jesus was willing to pay for us. Otherwise if He did not do this, Mary and everybody else would not have the power to do anything at all.

James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

The saints have made it to heaven, because of their righteousness in Jesus. They passed the test. So their prayers are exceedingly great. And they love us more than we can tell.
