Do You Need Somebody to Pray for You?

Speaking in Tongues

I am leading up to something, so please be patient with me. I have been praying in tongues faithfully for about a couple of months now. I say about half an hour in the mornings and off and on during the day. The Holy Spirit is prophesying in me. I am allow allowed to understand in part I think. It refers to my calling to suffer a future cross that has been worrying me for a while so I have prayed real hard that I will be able to endure it. Then for about the last week it has moved onto another cross I believe God wants me to carry straight after it. It seems that there is an enormous resistance coming from me. One of the reasons I believe the word crazy keeps coming up and I think it means this cross, many people are going to think I am crazy and the other thing is that I am told I am lazy. I love prayer and writing, but what He is going to want from me in the future is a completely different direction, in another country and living in a city that I don’t want to go. I hear the word Marie a great deal. I believe it is referring to Mary the Mother of Jesus. Her original name is not Mary as we know it, but Miriam. Mary and Marie and there is so many more names that come from Miriam.

I believe the Holy Spirit is saying to me only through calling on her intercession I will be able to endure and receive the grace to overcome my weakness so that I can fulfil the destiny that God wants me to accomplish. I eventually accepted the call that I will live in the city that I really don’t want to live. And I believe Jesus smiled at me affectionately as if to say He is pleased with me for accepting my calling. It was only a slight presence and when it is a slight presence I am not always sure if it is Him or not.

So What is this All About?

So what is this all about? Once again the closer you come to God the more light enters in you and you see more things about yourself that you don’t like. If you saw them before you are now going to see them even more clearly. I know I have always had a problem with laziness when it involves doing things I don’t like. And I am so sensitive what people think of me that it stops me from doing things that God wants me to do. I have been praying for months and months now that I make up a lifetime of waste in the little time I have left, like my earthy father did. I believe God wants to answer that prayer for all of us. I have been praying for all of us that this too will happen, but don’t worry God will want your permission first. This is what this whole week has been about, God trying to get permission from me to do His will on this matter.

Becoming More Like Christ is Going to Cost

The problem is growing and coming closer to God is going to cost. The higher we want to come to Him the more we have to resemble His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus died a terrifying death to save us. So to really follow Christ very closely means we are going to have to be like Him not only in virtue, but in suffering for our fellow man’s salvation. To do that we are going to need a great deal of help and prayers from people who are keener to get us there than we are. This is another reason why I believe in the communion of saints. They do know the reward far better than any of us, because they have travelled that road before us and are now reaping the rewards and have receive their crowns of victory. We can’t do this on our own. We all need help. And sometimes there is no one around or strong enough to help us.

is1DPX2JISMary is the most powerful of all the saints, because she has suffered more than anybody. St. Teresa led an ordinary Christian life for forty year of her life, than she was blessed by God and became a contemplative. This is a supernatural gift. She was ordered by a bishop to write a book on her experiences. I bet you would not understand a word she is saying but feel the love coming off the pages that’s what happen to me when I first read her book. The book is way too spiritual for people who are not gifted in contemplation at that level. The point she made was, while she lived the ordinary life of a Christian the suffering she said was nothing like the suffering she than experienced as a contemplative. The more spiritual you become, the closer you are to God, and the suffering is different in nature. Besides all the ordinary suffering you have to deal with in life, you now have to suffer on a supernatural level. Mary is more spiritual than any of us put together. And she loves her Son with far more intimacy than any of us. So Mary’s prayers are so much more powerful than we can imagine. And the Holy Spirit is saying to me I have to call on Mary a great deal more than I am, because it is going to be her prayers that will get me through the trials that awaits me.

I believe a great many people will object to what I have said here. Jesus has paid the full price of our Redemption and has paid totally for us to receive all the graces we need in life. God loves us working together with His Son. And He loves it when we work together as one body, the body of Jesus Christ.

How Many People are in Need of Prayer?

Look around, how many people know Jesus? How many need powerful prayers to be either converted or saved or the grace to come back to Him? How many of us need real help to get out of the situation we find ourselves in and there is no one to help us. Our prayers are answered according to our faith. If we have weak faith and a very massive problem and no one or nobody who has a strong enough faith to help us. This is where the communion of saints really helps out. And out of all the saints Mary the Mother of Jesus loves you the most, because she has suffered for you the most and therefore her prayers to God on our behalf is very powerful. You have to do your part, by praying how long it takes with passion, from your heart. If you pray without any concentration of who you praying to then of course it won’t be heard. When people talk to us, they too want our complete attention also, it is only natural.

is(2)When we say ‘I prayed to Mary about such and such a things.’ We are not referring to worshiping her like so many people think. Praying is simply talking or communicating to somebody who is no longer living on this earth, but are in heaven.  When we say pray to Mary we are saying to Mary pray to Our Heavenly Father or Jesus on our behalf. We don’t expect Mary to work as a goddess, we expect her to act as an intercessor. She has power, like we all will when we are in heaven. The power God has given us on earth in Jesus Name, is nothing compared to the saints that have passed the test and now living in heaven. Even so as we grow and call on God with faith we have the power in Jesus Name to cast out devils, heal the sick, and perform creative miracles. And it also depends on what calling God has given us to do, will determine what gifts He wants you to have. Mary has all the gifts far greater than any other saint. God has given us these gifts because of the sacrifice Jesus was willing to pay for us. Otherwise if He did not do this, Mary and everybody else would not have the power to do anything at all.

James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

The saints have made it to heaven, because of their righteousness in Jesus. They passed the test. So their prayers are exceedingly great. And they love us more than we can tell.

A Prayer to Invite Angels and Saints to Dwell in your Home

I just wrote this prayer that I say every day, for my protection. Inviting the angles and saints to dwell in my home as an example of what you may like to try for yourself. You might prefer different saints than I have or you might want to address the angels a different way. It is only meant to give you an idea of what you could do. God loves you to use your imagination in serving Him.

Prayer for Protection for your Home.

St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, and all the Seraphim’s, Cherubim’s, Thrones, Dominions, Powers, Virtues, principalities, Archangels, Angels and My Guardian Angel. May you all dwell in this home filling it with your loving presence and healing power and protection. Will you protect me from the snares of the devil and from the Anti-Christ and the false prophet, and all those who do evil, and all evil spirits including powers and principalities and wickedness in high places.

Holy Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Francis, St. Teresa, Sister Josefa, Mary Maglaine, St. John the Baptist, St. John of the Cross, St. John of God, St. Paul, St. Peter, John, James, Andrew, Steven, St. Jude, and the rest if all the apostles and also St. Rita, St. Gertrude, St. Anne, St. Agnes …….  Will you all dwell here in this place and fill it with your heavenly presence and love and healing and holy power and your confidence. May you protect all my animals, my car, my plants and all my possessions. May you fill this place with your heavenly peace and bless me for all eternity and protect me from the snares of the devil and the Anti-Christ, the false prophet, and all those who do evil, including evil spirits, powers, principalities and wickedness in high places.  May I also be made worthy to be ready to meet Jesus in the air and be welcome at the wedding feast as His bride, though the help of your prayers. Amen

When I had a Demon Attack

Once while I was being attacked by a demon, I started to pray a famous prayer to St. Joseph that was said with the first century Christians. I soon found out my mistake, because the prayer was too long and I knew I would run out of breath before I finish it. Therefore die of suffocation. I knew that was the demon’s plan and I also knew when I could complete a prayer to God, I would be able to breathe again.  So very quickly I asked God from my heart to help me finish this prayer off for me, while I was still saying this prayer in my mind. So the prayer began ‘Oh St. Joseph whose protection is so great, so strong, and so prompt before the throne of God,’ then ended it with ‘bless me for eternity.’ Well I was able to breathe again, but I noticed the demon was not at all happy, because I asked St. Joseph to bless me for eternity. Especially under a serve attack like that just made the prayer a whole lot stronger. So that is why in the prayer above I ask the saints to bless me forever, because I know the demons do hate it with their whole being. They only hates things that really pleases God and therefore it must be very powerful, for them to detest it the way they do.

Reasons Why I believe in the Communion of Saints

I do really believe in the communion of saints and since I live on my own, I pray by myself so therefore there is no other person I can call on to agree with me. I have notice that when I have a particular fondness of a particular saint, they always respond with my request to pray on my behalf with greater power than if I love them less. Another way I pray is I offer my prayers before The Divine Mercy in union with the Holy Family and the rest of the citizens in Heaven for example.

I remember reading a Protestant Prophet that I believe is a wonderful servant of God, but I disagree with him about his reasons for not asking saints or angles for intercession. The example he used was when King Saul went to a witch and called up a prophet from the dead. For starters Saul went to a witch. Witches serve Satan not God. Séance is a very dangerous practise, because we do not summons people from the dead full stop. But we can talk to those who enter the Kingdom of heaven. They are very keen to help according to the will of God. You don’t stop serving God just because you go to heaven. And we all belong to the family of God. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Families that are of God, that live by the spirit and not by the flesh, always help one another out when they are in trouble. Why would that change just because you are now a residence of heaven? They don’t stop praying once they get to heaven. They will pray on your behalf if you ask them. The results are always a lot quicker when you ask their help if you have affection for them and believe they will pray on your behalf. I open the bible in hope to find a scripture verses to help people understand that there is nothing wrong in this practise, but I got these verses instead. I believe from God, it doesn’t really back this message I am giving you but I feel it is what God wants me to write.

3 John 1:4

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in truth.

Psalm 43:3

Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them led me; let them bring me to Your holy hill and to Your tabernacle.

Psalm 145: 18

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all call on Him in truth.

People whose lives do not live up to the standard of the cross, in other words their life styles are a life of self-seeking comfort and luxuries. People who have no desire to go the extra mile and follow Jesus, you can pick them out easily in the crowd if you only look. Those who are near to God are near for a reason. They are in communion with Him. They walk in the ways of the spirit not in the flesh. You can tell if somebody is of God or not. Because the fruit they bear resembles Christ. It is always of truth, love and humility. So if something works and helps a person to become holy, there has to be a reason for it. Their action must be pleasing to God before He blesses it. Because a bad tree cannot bear good fruit, that is in the bible. The proof of the pudding is in the eating. I love that saying because it is a simple test and it is so true.

Inviting Saints and Angles to Dwell in your Home

isWNUVGOVLI have read a book many years ago of messages that came from Our Lady through a woman they called Little Mary. And one of the things that impressed me, was that Our Lady told us to invite Saints of God to dwell in our homes to protect us from our enemies. I have been practising this ever since I have read it. I also ask angels to dwell in my home to bless and protect me and all my possession and animals and I feel led now days to ask them also to protect my plants. We have many more enemies than we realised. There are so many people who are into magic and targeting Christians that we need to deliberately ask for daily protection from all curses and assaults from the devil and his followers. I am not being silly here, it is important to protect yourself from all evil. It isn’t just a matter of naming your favourite saints to dwell in your homes and then forgetting about it. You have to really believe and bless them and be grateful for their assistance, otherwise it only ends up being a superstition.

Have you notice you can walk into a home and feel in the atmosphere hostility, maybe severe tiredness or the opposite like cheerfulness, peace, love and etc. I believe you do leave a presence behind.  And if your home is filled with the saints and angels you do feel their presences unconsciously or not. You won’t be completely trouble free, but I believe every bit helps.

Sometimes We read the Bible Carefully, but Still Miss out its true Meaning

isZJPOFTZOI am now starting to pray the rosary audible outside in my backyard, but not loud enough for my neighbours to hear. I have never prayed outside before like this, because my backyard is very exposed and my neighbours can look right in. I love privacy. The thing is saying my prayers outside surrounded by nature is so much more natural than saying them behind four walls. It took courage at first. What are the neighbours are going to think? I am ashamed I have to admit that. I don’t think any of my neighbours really think it is a normal thing to do.  Or even believe that I have the right to do it. Society has condition them to think this way as well as many Christians. What gave me the courage to do it was, I thought, why shouldn’t I do what is natural for me. I am not making a nuisance of myself.

Seeing things that I would not normal be able to enjoy, like a very big beautiful blue butterfly flew over my head and a bird I believe not from these parts. Thanks to my phobias I have spent most of my life indoors and now I am really making up for lost time. Some people might be complaining by now and say ‘you are supposed to say your prayers in secret like the Lord has told you too.’ There are two different verses I want to show you, that seem to contradict one another, but in fact they do not. You have to ask when you are reading them, what Jesus is actually saying here. I believe too many people only study at face value like they do with everything else, including people they have just met. When in truth life is very deep.

Matthew 6: 5-6

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners, to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Matthew 5: 14-16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Some people might say that sounds like a contradiction, but it is not. What Jesus is simply saying is do everything for the glory of God, so that people will come to know God by your actions. You have to ask God for guidance what He wants you to do on any given moment. What was right one day, may not be the right thing to do today. God always looks into the heart of a thing. Saying your prayers in your own backyard despite what your neighbours might think, if done for love of God is so different from doing it just to seek attention. This new practise has brought me even closer to Him than praying to Him in my house. I see God more in nature than a picture of Jesus for example. Though I do love all my religious pictures and wouldn’t like to part with them. I just need both that is all!

isPMK3SZJMA good yard stick to measure if you are doing it for your glory, or for the glory of God’s, is to ask yourself ‘does it bring me closer to God or not?’ Jesus said people who will enter heaven are like a small child. Meaning pure and innocent. Children see everything differently, they don’t complicate things. Sometimes we have to make sacrifices and at other times we just have fun, but in both cases we will end up praising God more. The more we serve God with love for Him in all humility, the greater your good deeds will eventually bear fruit that will glorify God. Don’t expect to be perfect all the time. We do misjudge and have to redo things for the Lord. I am sure people who have read a number of my articles can see that with my writings also. We can only pray and try to do our best.

Times are serious

isW102ZQ1LHow many times do we stop and look at our lives through the eyes of Jesus? How many times do we complain to Him when things aren’t going well for us? How many times we forget we are in a middle of a most serious spiritual war. An enemy Satan, so dangerous, who wants to rob us of our souls and that of all the people we hold dear to us and the rest of humanity.  There are more important things at stake than our jobs, possessions and even our health. Time is short and we will be soon be made accountable for all our deeds and attitudes to one another and to towards our God who made heaven and earth. The ways God is set out for us in the Holy Bible.

We Need Balance

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, only the beginning! There is a whole lot more wisdom to come and most of it is so beautiful it is worth dying for. There are two sides to God, one of Justice and the other of Mercy. Humans always go to one extreme to the other. So we have to be very careful to walk in the middle. If we walk in the middle we won’t fear God to the point we don’t believe God is capable of forgiving us. If we see God only as mercy we will be tempted to take the easy way out, because we think to ourselves ‘all we have to say to God is I am sorry and it will be the end of the matter,’ which of course there is more to it than that. To be really sorry you will not want to sin against God at all. I am referring to people who only use God. They say sorry but do not really mean it. When somebody says sorry to us and we know they don’t mean it, we are really hurt how much more is God?

We all love good times and wish it would never end, but it does on this earth. There are seasons to cry and to laugh. We have to be mature enough to realise this, if we want to win the war of our salvation. We have to stay focus on Jesus the whole time. How many are more focus on their jobs or their looks etc. We got to get back to basics. Or we will not be strong enough to stand when Satan has so much power on this earth, because of people who obey him rather than God. If we do as God tells us we will survive anything and everything that come to harm us. It will turn around at the right hour and create so much glory for all God’s saints. We are all suffering for a reason. And that reason is sin, whether it is our sin or somebody else’s’ or both. Sin has destroyed this beautiful planet God has made for us to enjoy. Too many people have listen to greed and pride and hate of their fellow man. We have destroyed the very thing God gave us out of His love. Don’t think we are basically good! If it we were true, Jesus wouldn’t had to pay such a high price for our redemption.

Self-Righteous is a Sickness

Being self-righteous is a very common sickness amongst all us. We have to learn to admit when we fail or when we have done wrong to one another. God does see what is going on and He does remember, and at the right hour will strike those who haven’t repented. The closer you come to God the more clearly you see yourself. Because God increases the light in you. I now understand why the saints of old would say things like ‘I am the worm of the earth.’ It sounded over the top with me once, but not anymore. I am now seeing myself that way. I see all that is good in me is God’s own doing. It has very little to do with me, except to consent to the will of God and do my best and when the right hour comes He does the rest.

I am bringing this all up, because I am hoping including myself that we will stand by Jesus when the greatest trials of our lives come our way. Wickedness is increasing and through the hands of people who will make our lives so miserable, we might be attempted to attack God for allowing it to happen to us and give way to the enemy of our soul. We are supposed to be soldiers in the army of God, but so few understand this. We have to fight whether it is in God’s army or His enemies. We can’t say ‘no I don’t want to join any army.’ ‘I want to stay clear away from all the fighting that is going on and be safe,’ because it is not going to happen.

isK0M5TO0LThe way to survive is not to forget all that Jesus has gone through, for you. You must remember He did so that you will learn His ways and follow Him and then you will have a beautiful place in heaven for ever. Where there will be no more evil to hurt us, but only love and joy. And it will be so full of exciting surprises that God keeps creating for us to enjoy and no one there ever to rob us of these things. To experience God’s personal love for you for ever is enough. To be a servant of God is such a great honour we wouldn’t complain to God about that role in heaven, but God is planning to up our status in heaven far more than just a servant. God is so in love with us He wants us to be equal heirs with His only begotten Son Jesus Christ the King of kings. And a whole lot more, surely that is worth fighting for.

Let’s Be Grateful to Jesus’ Suffering

We are all called to be co-redeemers. Do you think our suffering for righteousness goes unnoticed by God? No way He has shown me once, when I was suffering so badly that as deep as my pain that I feel in me, God will fill me up with Himself. How deep is God, how big is God, imagine this God we can’t measure filling you up, to the depth of your suffering. How much have you suffered for Him in this life? that is how much God, who is bigger than the universe is going to fill you up. Even the suffering you suffered before you converted, you can offer up to God in union with His Son’s suffering and He will. Do you understand what I am trying to say to you here? God is huge. The universe fits comfortable in the palm of His hand. You can’t even see earth it is that small. How smaller are we? Yet God is going to fill you up with Himself. It is no small reward for suffering a little for Him. What we suffer doesn’t matter how great we think it is, it is only a small pin prick compared to what Jesus did for us. If we truly love Him, we want to give Him some kind of thank you for all that He has done for us, it is only fair.

Four Patron Saints of Impossible and Desperate Cases

isK9K5GSHBMany saints will help if you ask it of them. Some saints have been known to be extremely even more helpful when a real crisis happens. No doubt they lived more strenuously for God and so are now more powerful than other saints in heaven. I also notice the more affection you have for a saint the more powerful your prayers are.  The saints seem to respond so much more if you praying from your love of them. I love the practise of the communion of saints, not only do they intercede for you on your behalf, sometimes they will even show themselves to you and directly communicate to you. Like when I asked Mary and Sr. Josefa Mendendez to help me learn humility, they both assured me they will. And I had a picture of Sr. Josefa and I saw in this picture how kind her eyes were in the supernatural realm. Jesus intercedes on our behalf all the time, so it is only natural that all heaven wants to join in and help out too. We will be all like Him in heaven.

Saint Jude

Saint Jude is one of the most known, because he was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus Christ. And one of the authors of the New Testament.

Glorious apostle, St. Jude Thaddeus, true relative of Jesus and Mary. I greet you through the Sacred heart of Jesus. Through this Heart I praise and thank God for all the graces he has bestowed upon you. Humbly prostrate before you, I implore you, through this Heart, to look down upon me with compassion. Despise not my poor prayers; let not my trust be confounded! God has granted you the privilege of aiding mankind in the most desperate cases. Come to my aid that I may praise the mercy of God! All my life I will be grateful to you and will be your faithful devotee until I can thank you in heaven. Amen.

Saint Philomena

She was only 14 when she was martyred for Christ in most cruel ways. She wanted to give her life up to Jesus and refuse to marry this man, who wouldn’t take no for an answer. So he keep finding ways to torture her and then she was finally was beheaded. She died I think approximately in the third Century.

We beseech Thee. O Lord, to grant us the pardon of our sins by the intercession of Saint Philomena, virgin and martyr, who was always pleasing in Thy sight by her eminent Chasity and by the profession of every virtue. Amen. Illustrious virgin and martyr, Saint Philomena, behold me prostrate before the throne whereupon it has pleased the Most Holy Trinity to place thee. Full of confidence in thy protection, I entreat thee to intercede for me with God, from the heights of Heaven deign to cast a glance upon thy humble client! Spouse of Christ, sustain me in suffering, fortify me in temptation, protect me in the dangerous surrounding me, obtain for me the graces necessary to me, and in particular (Here specify your request). Above all, assist me at the hour of my death. Saint Philomena, powerful with God, pray for us. Amen. O God Most Holy Trinity, we thank, Thee for the graces Thou didst bestow upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, and upon Thy handmaid Philomena, through whose intercession we implore Thy Mercy. Amen.

Saint Rita of Cascia

Her body is still intact. It is displayed in a glass case in the Basilica of St. Rita in Cascia, Italy. She died in 1457; her body has shifted positions several times, plus the eyes have opened and closed unaided. While alive she implored God for some participation in Christ’s sufferings and was divinely accorded a thorn wound in her forehead, which festered and produced such an offensive odour that for fifteen years she was spent in reverential seclusion in the convent that she was in. She now has another title The Miracle Worker of Cascia.

Holy Patroness of those in need, St. Rita, so humble, pure and patient, whose pleadings with your divine spouse are irresistible, obtain for me from your crucified Lord the request I make of you. Be propitious towards me for the greater glory of God, and I promise to honour you and to sing your praises for ever. Glorious St. Rita, who shared in a marvellous manner in the sorrowful passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, obtain for me the grace to suffer with resignation the troubles of this life, and protect me in all my needs. Amen. St. Rita, pray for me.

Saint Gregory of Neocaesarea

He is a very interesting character that I have just found out about. And I am asking his intercession on some things and I feel he is answering them now. And I haven’t even finish the nine days that we usually say when we are doing a novena. I will continue, with the novena until I have finished the nine days. He is another very early saint of the early Centuries. He was converted to Christianity with his brother at the age of fourteen and became a bishop at the age of forty years until another thirty years. He converted so many souls that it was incredible, with his words and miracles. St. Basil, said he was comparable to Moses, the prophets and the apostles.

There is no prayer that I can find for him, but I also have been using the same prayer format as the novena for Sr. Josefa Mendendez. I am using this prayer format for a quiet a few saints at the moment, because there are many things on my mind. And things are happening. Of course you can always use your words with any of the saints. Sometimes I do and at other times I prefer to write my prayers down so I don’t forget anything. I ask each saints for many things not just one thing and they are helping me out, I can see progress.

The important things when praying is always pray with a humble and sincere heart. Don’t make the mistake of just reciting a prayer. You are talking to somebody who is all there for you, you got their whole attention, so you have to make sure your attention on them is one hundred percent also.

Chaplet of Saint Anne

I love saying this prayer when I want a prayer answered real desperately. I think not only did Saint Anne had a very special child Mary, but then became so bless as to be the Grandmother of Jesus. What confidence she must have in asking Mary’s intercession and Jesus’s on our behalf. She would surely know the heart of Mary and Our Saviour Jesus Christ and pray with such love and humility. This Chaplet has promises attach to it. A great number of spiritual and temporal favours are given to you if you say this Chaplet. Of course saying it with a humble and an affectionate heart never goes unheard in any of our prayers.

1.      In honour of Jesus, say 1 Our Father…. And Say 5 Hail Mary’s

Then say “Jesus, Mary and St. Anne, grant the favour I ask.”

2.      In honour of Mary, say 1 Our Father and then say 5 Hail Mary’s

Then say “Jesus, Mary and St. Anne, grant the favour I ask.”

3.      In honour of St. Anne, say 1 Our Father, and then say 5 Hail Mary’s

Then say, “Jesus, and St. Anne, grant the favour I ask.”

The Love of God

isI2TNE013What is love after all? When many people think of love, they think as they do with everything else. ‘What I can get out of it?’ It is always for most of the population always about ‘me’ and what I want. And many of us confuse it with fascination or even lust. If you love somebody in this world it is going to be truly tested. Even Jesus didn’t get out of it, even though He wouldn’t wish to since He truly did and does loves us eternally. In this world where most people unashamedly seek after their own pleasures regardless of what it will eventually cost them and anybody who goes near them. If you are always looking for the easy way out in all things, you are going to instead find there is no short cuts to love. It is hard work and plenty of sacrifice where you put the other person first. Sometimes it is too heartbreaking for words to describe. There is nothing worse than to love somebody who doesn’t love you back and returns your love and sacrifice with ingratitude. If we think we suffer, try to imagine God’s suffering when most of the human race chooses to serve other gods that they will only receive sorrow from them in the end anyway. While He is so passionate about wanting you to really know Him. Too many of us believe in the lies the devil sends out to all of us. We can’t imagine that God truly tenderly cares about us, because we are always been told by the devil that God can’t really loves somebody of in significate value such as us. It is all lies!! Really and truly.

Deuteronomy 4:29

You will seek the Lord your God and you will find him, if you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.

I am learning more and more about God’s love, especially these last two years. There are many side to God. I had a loving relationship to the Father, and of course it could always be improved on and matured. I looked on Jesus as my Saviour Brother Friend mostly. I had receive visitation of Jesus as my lover too, but now it is even more intimate and exciting. What I am finding out when you put yourself out there and love first so to speak, in other words go the extra mile in expressing your affections for Him. He often will surprisingly show Himself to you in some new way. Unfortunately we don’t always recognise Him when He speaks to us. But I have found most times He will communicate to you when you have forgotten yourself and your heart is really reaching out to God out of love. Then amazing things can happen. I remember reading time and time again in a book called ‘He and i’ that He would say to Gabrielle Bossis to treat Him like a shy person. Which means He wants us to cox Him to talk or show Himself to you. With shy people, being one myself especially when I was very young, only the warm loving kind people would give me the confidence to bring me out of my shell. It can be hard work to win a shy person over. Shy people get rejected a lot. What Jesus says to one person most times it is the same message He is giving for all of us.

We Need to Get More Personal With God

At the moment I am discovering for example that He is a lover not in the intellectually way, but from my heart. And when you do that that makes a big difference in receiving Him. I said to Him after communion that instead of saying a whole lot of formal prayers and then rush off, I will just sit and talk to Him. (I do talk to God all the time, but sometimes more intimately than at other times). Then I started to talk to Him as a lover. I got personal with Him and I meant every word of it. And I said things that you would only say to a person that you were in love with. Like ‘I have been looking all my life for somebody like you to love me like you do, and now I have found it was always You.’ I immediately I got a response from Him. It only lasted a few seconds, but He responded back as a lover too. He was so please that I now consider Him my true lover. And I keep saying to Him things like ‘I didn’t know you loved me like that, is it true a great God like you really truly loves me as a lover does His bride.’ I say it over and over again, because it astounds me to think He really does, that it is not all talk, is one way of putting it. And once again I can sometimes feel His pleasure that I am starting to cotton on to this new area and deeper truth of Him. Our pride stops us experimenting with God like this. We are so use to being rejected we think God is going to. And not only are people of high status in this world very rarely that attainable, we think God must be like that too, but He is not. When we love one another it is only a very small reflection of His Great infinite love for all of us.

Most of us through our own selfishness and those around us causing untold pain that many find it hard to give or to receive love at all, especially even from God. The closer we are and the more we love God and know Him, we see everything around us so differently. The difference between the kingdom of darkness compared to the Kingdom of Light is so enormous. I find myself asking over and over again why we listen to the lies of the devil. He has messed up so many people’s lives and we keep listening to Him. Some even go out of their way and even worship him. But the one true God who is nothing but goodness, love and mercy and so on gets slapped in the face for loving us and showing us the way to true happiness.  Whether we like it all not God is eternally smarter than us, and He does know what brings us happiness and what doesn’t. His commandments were given to us out of His wisdom and love. Unfortunately people think the easy and wide road that most people travel on is going to give them more joy than the straight and narrow road that only a few find. Hard as it is to serve God we get a lot more out of serving God than obeying our selfish nature. People who live for God will also be slapped in the face by doing good deeds. Because most people love the darkness more than the light.

Lamentations 3:22-23

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Be Careful What You Say to One Another

We all have been and most likely be guilty again of speaking out of turn with one another. Hurting Our Lord in a most painful way by being full of self-righteousness towards another. Religious arguments can go ugly. And not all of us repent from what we say or write in the heat of the moment. Some things can’t be repaired, but only through the prayers of our heart. And God does listen. I remember somebody hurt me and I responded I think well, but for two lines, I wished I didn’t write. So we all do it. I wasn’t in a position to say sorry and I also was still in a temper over it. I prayed over the matter for about seven hours. And after two hours of prayer, Jesus showed me my prayer was really helping including me. Of course it was about this Protestant verses Catholic thing. Sometimes it feels like a waste of time trying to explain what Catholics actually believe in, but it is never a waste of time praying about it.

Things We Need to Know

One time when I was young I was saying to myself I really needed to learn patience and Jesus spoke to me and said with great keenness ‘meekness is more important.’ I misinterpreted Him for years. I have just worked out what He was actually saying to me. I thought He was saying meekness was the most important virtue out of the two of them. But now I find out what He was saying I needed to learn meekness more than patience. Just recently God has allowed me to see, as a whole I am a very patient person in most areas, not so with meekness. And something else He has shown me, when my heart arches so badly because of the words of another spoken, it isn’t my pain, but Jesus pain at the cross. If I respond in temper ‘how dare that person say that’ I have obliviously failed Jesus, because that is not what He is saying. He is saying ‘forgive them Father for they know what they do.’ This is not just true for me, it is a fact for all of us. We all feel some of the pain Jesus went through in His life. Jesus lives in us, so naturally we are going to experience not only His joy but also His sorrow. How we react to it is most important. We either give Him glory or we fail Him, by not accepting His cross from His hand.

During my seven hourly prayer for Protestants to have a better understanding of what Catholics actually believe in. I was shown to offer up the false accusation of what many Protestants are saying about Catholics, with what He suffered at the trial when He was falsely accused of things that He didn’t do and it would bring about conversions. What hurts me most are what EX-Catholics have to say about Catholics. I believe in truth even though they say they were more Catholic than the Pope, they were never true Catholics in the first place. They may be great Christians as Protestants but they were never great Christians as Catholics. Just because you do all the outward things doesn’t mean you have the heart of a Catholic. It just means you went about everything very legalistically. And didn’t really understand what it was all about in the first place, much like the Pharisees didn’t really understand Jesus that well. They were on a different planet so to speak. Same as with being a Christian full stop. Jesus says not everybody who calls Him Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because they are not really followers of Him. To the world they may look like Christians but they do not serve God but themselves.

The Difference Between Protestants And Catholics

If you can understand what I am saying here. I believe, as a whole Protestants are reapers orientated and Catholics are sowers orientated. And therefore they go about everything differently. God is calling them to serve Him differently. I hate it when I meet people who insist that I have to serve God their way. As if it is the only way and there are many out there that are like that. They don’t allow for individuality. The commandments of God are the same, but the path may differ from one another in getting there. In other words we have given different gifts. Do we all prophesy, teach and speak in tongues? Of course not. And it can get very confusing sometimes because the Protestants mostly preach that you should pray for healing and it will happen. Not so with Catholics. What about the many Catholics that have been called to be a ‘victim soul’ for the salvation of souls. I am one of them and I get confused when Protestants are saying the reason why you are still sick is because you don’t have enough faith. I was told by God, it was partly to keep me humble, accordingly to my interpretation of what He gave me to read in the Bible.

isO5HO9OA7God is too big for us to take in and I believe we can’t do it all. We all are members of the Body of Christ we can’t say to the kidneys ‘we don’t need you get lost!’ or to our muscles we don’t need you because you are doing it all wrong! That is what people are basically saying to one another. When we think the only way to serve God is the way God is calling us to do, is very childish and narrow minded. And this prejudice that is creating hate and division in God’s Church, is just what the enemy of God had planned all along.

Romans 10:9-10

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

Catholics and Protestant both believe this. According to Paul we are both saved. We are both following Christ even if we don’t understand one another that well.

John 6:40

“This is the will of My Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

Catholic and Protestants both believe in what is written in the Holy Bible to be true. Very few passages we do not interrupt the same way. Most of our beliefs say about 98% are the same. Just because of a few passages that we don’t agree on, people are filled with so much ungodly hatred to one another that you can’t expect God is please with us. How can we confess to God and the world that we follow Jesus and yet disobey the second commandment, which is to ‘love one another as I have love you.’ When you love people you are willing to hear one another out. If you are filled with self-righteousness you block your ears and you cannot hear. How many people have block their ears and are not listening to Christ teachings, but only listening to what they want to hear. isI2TNE013

John 7:38-39

‘Anyone who believes in Me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.” When He said “living water,” He was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in Him.

Both Protestants and Catholics have received the Holy Spirit. I have been both Protestant and Catholic and God has visited me whether I was a Catholic or as a Protestant. It doesn’t make any difference to Him. He knows what is in our hearts. And I have been let down badly by both Protestant Churches and Catholic Churches when I was in my greatest need. Jesus has never let me down and that is why I am still a Christian today.

1 John 4:12

If we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us.

I live in a country town and we are very privilege to have one Christian book store nearby. It is a Protestant book store and I have been buying books there for years, because I wanted to learn about how to grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Like faith healing and self-deliverance. Catholic books stores don’t go in for that so much, they are more into contemplative prayer, which I have found very helpful too. The thing is out of all the Protestants books that I have read I would say at least 40% will eventually say something negative about Catholics. One of their favourite comparisons of the differences between the Catholic faith and the Protestants is that they say Catholics unlike the Protestants believe we enter in the Kingdom of heaven by our works. They say Protestants are basically superior even though they don’t say it like that, because Protestant believe we enter into heaven by grace. It kills me reading that time and time again, because it is not true. Catholics believe exactly the same as Protestant on this matter. If you read it once and a while, it doesn’t hurt so much, but to read it just about every time you pick up a Protestant book it really hurts. How would Protestants like it if about 40% of Catholic books were saying what Protestants are saying about Catholics?

I got so upset one day and I said to Jesus lets us convert the Protestants into the Catholic faith. I now know that is not God’s plan, but His desires with all His heart that we love one another and stop falling into the trap that Satan has made for us. He appeared to me and instead of all joy let’s convert the Protestants, His face was so serious. I would say it look like a face of war. The war is not of the flesh but of principalities and wickedness in high places. The war is against Satan. And Christians can’t see that, countless of them are falling into Satan’s trap. In Satan’s kingdom it is all about hating one another, trying to rule over one another. God’s kingdom is all about love to towards one another, to accept one another as He does. How can we get it so wrong!!! Because we are not really listening to Him, so how can we obey Him?

John 13:34-35

“Love each other, just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples.”

There is no other way to prove that you truly belong to the sheepfold of Jesus. We have to love one another, as Jesus loves us, or we are just fooling ourselves. And if you think there is another way and that God is going to say well done my faithful servant, you are wrong.

How Many Times Do You Bless Somebody?

When I was little it wasn’t rare to hear people say to one another ‘bless you’ just after you have done them a kind deed. There was no embarrassment back then, because it was not as rare as it is today. And people would just replied either with a thank you back or God bless you too. We need to start blessing one another. Even if it is just between God and you, blessing that person who has been helpful. What about blessing your town, school, church or country and etc. I feel with all the cursing that is going around we need to counteract it with blessings. Blessings I believe are even more powerful than curses. When we bless one another in the Name of God we are working with God and when we curse we are working against God. So to me it is easy to see that blessings has to be more powerful than curses. When you are cursing I believe you are cursing in the name of Satan, consciously or not. It makes a lot of sense to me. Some people may think of course blessings are going to be more powerful it is common sense that it is so. So why bother bringing that up? Because there are too many Christians out there that seem to think the devil is bigger than God. They say things to themselves like ‘why bother? it is not going to make any difference.’ They give up to easily, when faced with opposition.

Blessing is an act of loving your town, school, church or country etc. It needs a lot of love and healing and success in everything it does for the Glory of God. That is the work blessing does, it provides a means to have things accomplished as God Wills it. God Wills only what is good, joyful and healthy for our souls. Curses does the opposite and cause hardship, failure, depression and lack. And blessing doesn’t take up much of your time, if you chose. I love using my rosary beads when I want to repeat a prayer over and over again. Especially when I am in one of those moods when I feel God Spirit on me to keep praying. I may use the Divine Chaplet of Mercy that I have typed out for you in another article. Or some other favourite prayer like the one that I offer up the Scared Heart of Y’shua and offer it up for what I feel God has put into my heart. God really doesn’t care what way you pray as long as your heart is in the right place. When you are praying for your marriage, children, town, school, church or country and etc. bless also your enemies. It helps you not to get angry with them and become bitter towards them. Blessings work if you are genuinely blessing everybody for the Glory of God. And God will in turn bless you.

Proverbs 3:33-34

The Lord blesses the home of the just. He gives grace to the humble.

Proverbs 10:22

Blessing crown the head of the righteous. The name of the righteous is used in blessings, but the name of the wicked will rot.

One day while I was shopping, I was blessing everybody that I passed by in my head and because I was doing that it made me feel cheerful and I even got a few very warm smiles back. They didn’t know that I was blessing them, but maybe their spirit did.
