Following Jesus All the Way

Mark 12: 30-31

isW102ZQ1LLove the Lord your God with all your heart and with your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

What does it mean to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and with all our strength? I think we soon know when we are truly been tested by fire. When we can see only darkness and God seems to be indifferent to our pain and sufferings. God does not promises us an easy time on earth, some preachers do and they mislead so many people and because of this they are not preparing God’s children when they are facing their toughest times.

Following Jesus is Not always Easy

Jesus says ‘whoever wants to be a follower of mind, renounce yourself and pick up your cross daily and follow me.’ What does it mean to follow him? Jesus is our example. His life was excruciating painful at times, for the purpose to save souls. If we are truly to follow Him, it means sometimes we have to go through excruciating pain to save souls. Some people might be misinterpreting what I mean at this moment. If Jesus did not die on the cross and paid for our sins all our efforts of working for our salvation and of others would be in vain. I am not saying that our sufferings are actually worth anything in itself, but because Jesus has paid the price and we are now in a position to call on the sufferings of Jesus and unite it with our own, now our sufferings are worth something in the eyes of God.

We all Deserve Everlasting Fires of Hell

We all deserve a miserable death in hell forever and forever, because we always prefer to take the easy way out, which leads to sin. It is lovely thinking that God loves us so much that He sent His beloved Son to die for us and saves us from our sins, but do we ever desire to give God a little back in gratitude of all that He has given us. We still have to do our part. We still have to follow Jesus. To follow Jesus is hard work sometimes, not all the time, but as the Bible says there is a season for everything.

God’s strongest children those who love Him very deeply, take on a heavier load to help Jesus saves souls and it is truly costly. Saint Paul promises us that our suffering will not be anywhere near compared to the joys of Heaven that waits us. God will out do our generosity, we can count on it. After all the sins we commit we are only getting a little of what we deserve.

Our Sufferings are Only for a Short Time

It does not matter what we are going through at this moment, it is not as bad as hell, even if some think so. Read up on people who have visited hell and hear what they have to say about it. It is absolutely a frighting place and the worst of it, the people who are dammed are dammed forever. Jesus was totally innocent but He was willing to suffer all for us, so that we would not go there. He wants us reigning in Heaven with Him and He can lead you there if you only trust Him. Do not give up, persevere to the end.

You have to pray without ceasing, it is not a choice it is a necessity. God will hear you, but you have to keep it up. Some people will have to simplify their lives so that they can find time to pray. Others may have to pray on the run. Jesus had to pray on the run many times Himself. When you feel at your driest while in prayers you are in fact the strongest that is what saints have been told by God. God does not depend on how we feel, He wants our wills and then He will do the rest. That is what God has promised to different visionaries and He is not just talking to them He is talking to all of us.

A Prayer of Repentance and Trust

Please God the Father I am truly, truly sorry for all the heartbreak my sins have caused you and to all your children. I know that I am unable to understand how serious my sins are. To do that I have to truly understand how great you are and how insignificant I am before you.

The only true reason I have any value at all, is because of your great love for me. I have done nothing to deserve your great eternal love for me. You have made me out of your most generous and gracious love. You made all things from love. Nothing you have ever made has been made from indifference. I cannot understand this love, I do not understand how big and eternal it is. To do that I have to be another God like you, which can never be. Dear God, you love me so much you sent your innocent and most pure son to leave the place of love, to be born as a vulnerable baby in a dirty stable, and to live thirty three years on this wicket planet, enduring hardship and hatred more than any of us could bear, for our sake. And then top it all off, He died courageously on a cross as a criminal. The most hated of all criminals for our sake.

Nobody in this entire world has done anything worthy to deserve such sacrifice, nor ever will. We are so little and weak, we can never be able to return to You the great compliment that Jesus has given us. Our greatest suffering on earth is nothing to compare with your suffering for us. The Gospel has only recorded a very faint picture of the suffering your Son endured for me and the rest of the human race. Some chosen people have been given the privilege of divine revelations of a little more information of what Your Son endured for us. And when we take the trouble to really go through the steps to meditate on Jesus suffering, we can see it is a great insult to You not to believe in your great love and mercy.

No one loves to suffer, your precious Son included, but He did it for me and for all of us. He could of escape into the invisible at any time. He had the power to do it, but He kept going for me, because of His desperate love to save all humanity. Dear Father make me worthy to grow in Your love. Make me worthy to live in Your Presence day and night. I want to love You more than anything or anybody inexistence. I want to truly know You, so that I can have a greater appreciation of who You really are. I want to have a greater appreciation of everything that You have done for me, my family, friends, relatives, acquaintances and everybody who has ever been born or will be born. I want to live a life that is truly pleasing to You in every way. By myself I cannot do this only through Your grace can I do what is pleasing to You.

Make me faithful, brave so that I will fulfil Your dream of me. I am called to do great things in Jesus name as all Your children are. Do not let me back down through fear or selfishness. In Jesus name cleanse me of all my sins, sins that I know about, sins that I do not know about, sins that I remember and sins that I do not remember. I believe in Your great love and willingness to answer my pray for Your Son, Jesus sake and for the praise and glory of Your eternal Name. Amen.

The Body of Christ is in Need of Healing

is(14)We are often taught there are no two people are alike and yet for some reason our world expects everybody to conform to what the world has decided on. Look at many of the scientist for example! They claim one thing to be absolutely true so dogmatically that people dare not to question them. Then about ten years later it is considered to be a lie. Look at fashion it keeps changing so you have to keep buying new clothes, so nobody will call you old fashion. I remember when I was at high school in my sewing class. The teacher was showing us the different shoes people use to wear during the middle ages. I can remember it so clearly, we were all laughing at how foolish the shoes looked. Three months later those very same shoes that we thought was so ridiculous became the height of fashion for years after. And we were all wearing them to be cool.

People don’t like You being A Individual

I tend to do my own thing more and more as I am getting older, and there is always a high price to pay because of it. People dislike you, because you think for yourself. The same thing applies with the churches of God. No two Christians are going to interrupted life the same way, because they both come from different circumstances. The word love means different things to different people. To some people the word love hurts, because every time people use that word there is always pain attach to it. Not everybody has experience that of course. So it should not always be surprising that we do not always understand where the other person is coming from.

Love is Our Calling

Our job as Christians is to learn what God means by the word love. We have to ask God to give us the grace to know what it is and know how to practise it with the help of His Holy Spirit. Most of us including myself have a tendency to look at love in an intellectual way. We live in our brains and have to learn to live in our hearts, where Christ resides in us instead. A great many people are afraid of intimacy, because they have been rejected so many times they have given up.

We All have Different Upbringings

Both my parents were not cuddled much when they were young and so being the first born I wasn’t cuddled much, but my youngest sister was. It wasn’t favouritism, they just learnt to loosen up by the time she came onto the scene twelve years later. So even though my sister and I come from the same family with the same parents, the word love means different things to us, because we both experience it in a different way. I never doubted my parents loved me, because they would show it to me by how willing they would make sacrifices for me. I have never heard the words ‘I love you’ until my father was dying and he wanted a lifetime of love squeezed into an hour or two. And it was not easy.

Faith Healing

I have been reading and watching shows on faith healing, because my bad health has forced me into it. And it seems God first wants to heal my emotional pain. And little by little I am learning what it is to feel the love God has for me in a very intimate way. Now I have had many communications with Him over my life. You wouldn’t think I need an education on it. We are all learning about love all the time, but it is going deeper and deeper. Love heals and frees you of self-hatred, which unfortunately we learned that from the society we live in. God has to untrained us from how we are taught even what we had learned from well-meaning religious teachers. We all have blind spots and as people we have to learn to be more flexible if we want to hear God Spirit in us.

Discerning God’s Spirit

is(7)How do you discern God’s Spirit from your own, the world and the devil. Taste the fruit. If it leads to pride, selfishness, confusion, self-righteousness and so on we should immediately know that is not what God’s Spirit looks like. I know familiar spirits (that is what the deceiving spirits are often called) are very cleaver, and I have been fooled by them to. We all do at some point or another. They make out that they are kind and have your best interest at heart, but they lead you astray. I believe they are the most harmful ones. When evil spirits try to intimidate you and fight you, they are the less dangerous ones from my experience. Because you know they are your enemies and so you fight them back in the name of Jesus. Jesus will never let you down, if you turn to Him in complete sincerity and humility.

I realise I have got off the track. Our religion is about love and so few of us really believe in it, because we don’t see much of it in the world and unfortunately also in a great many churches, though I think that is changing. I remember when I was very young after the church service that I attended, we were to meet with one another after it and have a cup of tea with one another. It was agony for most of us, because none of us felt free to express ourselves, who we were really. And that is to be the person that God made us to be. Goats are what Jesus called people who claim to be faithful to God, but really had their own secret motives to honour themselves. They don’t seem to have this problem of shyness or fear of rejection. They seem to thrive on attention and they are the ones that are twisting the bibles to mean something that it doesn’t mean.

True Christians

God’s genuine Christians were all in need of emotional healing so badly and there was no one gifted in the gifts of the Holy Spirit to heal us. We all were trying to love one another as Jesus would have us, but there was so much pain in everyones hearts that none of us could open up. There was no confidence that we would be accepted if we did open up. I heard this was common of all churches all over the world in that era. I feel this is changing, because God is pouring His Spirit onto His true believers like never before. I feel we are now going to reap what we have been sowing with tears for all those years.

Judging is Harmful to All Churches

isW102ZQ1LJudging and gossiping is such a big killer and if we are all guilty of it in our churches, nobody is going to feel loved enough or to feel safe enough to open up and be our true selves. Especially the ones that are in need of it the most. We are all beautiful in God’s eyes and we should remember it always if we want to please our wonderful kind Heavenly Father. I remember once I was at a retreat and this women went around talking to everybody nonstop after every break we had. People were getting annoyed with her, because she was over the top some might say. I was annoyed with her too, but I remember God’s commandment to love one another as He loves us. And to my surprise she confided in me what was taking place. She use to have a job, and she mentioned one day that she was a Catholic to her co-workers and the next day she was sacked, because of it. So she vowed to herself that she would never will talk again. Years later Jesus appeared to her and said talk. So she was just obeying Our Lord, despite of us all being irritated with her through our ignorance and impatience.

Good Communications Skills is a Gift

Believe it or not communication with others takes practise. I have since then suffered social phobias for forty years nearly and I am just starting to talk to strangers again. I have not been communicating to strangers verbally for forty years. I am in the process of learning what the rules are about communicating to others, and some people are not exactly happy with me either. You talk freer to people who know you, strangers it is another story. People who have never had this problem really do not understand what I am saying here, because they have never experienced it.

We Need to Love One Another through Acceptance

So how much is out there that we have never understood properly, because we have never experience their crosses. We too often become so quick to judge the worst in people, instead of believing in people that their intentions might in fact be good. Even if we don’t understand them? We must really pray hard that there is much healing for the Body of Christ. That we learn to humble ourselves and really practise love. Regardless of what denomination we belong to, we all are really on the same side. We can only do this from a sincere heart and ask God to heal us so we can in turn heal others.

Purgatory is real!!!

First I want to point out the difference between purgatory and hell; one is temporary and the other permanent, but there is also another difference. Hell is eternal punishment for your sins, purgatory is purifications for your unforgiven sins. There are many and many Christians that are not worthy or ready to go to heaven when they die. Look at their sins, only the perfect go to heaven and they are only a few. What about the narrow gate, only a few will find it and enter in. Jesus is talking to His followers.

Protestants time after time again will say Purgatory is not in the Bible. Wrong it is in the Bible! The same way the Rapture is recorded in the Bible, though it doesn’t use the word Rapture, we know what Jesus is talking about. That word came after the Bible was written. If you look at the scripture Matthew 18: 23-34, the story begins and ends, but notice what verse Matthew 18; 34 has to say. I am quoting from a Protestant Bible “The Woman’s Study Bible” New International Version. “In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.’

Jesus is Talking about Purgatory

If Jesus was talking about hell we all know you never get out of hell, because you will never be able to pay all that you owe. Only through the blood of Jesus you can pay back all you owe. There are no Buddha’s, Islam, Hindus’ etc. in Purgatory only Christians. Catholics call them holy souls in Purgatory, because they are all belong to the sheep fold of Jesus Christ. They all believed in Him, they were not just quite up to scratched to enter heaven yet. So they are sent to purgatory to be made ready to go to heaven. That sounds a lot like mercy to me.

I remember when my father was dying. There is often a lot of mind reading going on during these intense occasions. I knew my father was satisfied that he confessed all his sins, but I knew different. My mother had very fair skin and my father always insisted that she go to the beach with him. She wasn’t a beach person and so she would find a place to sit down. There was no shade. She would sit there for hours at a time, while my father enjoyed his swim. My mother’s face became so lined that she looked at least twenty years older than she was.

God is not Mean

I was going to tell my father that in my mind to his, but then I got cold feet. Then a spirit appeared to both of us and told me in a very firm manner to tell him. My father was listening into the conversation, wondering what sin it was that he didn’t confess in a peaceful manner.  Well I went from one extreme to the other, I shouted it out so loudly that there was a spiritual echo and it was like the echo went through the whole of heaven. So that everybody in Heaven would have heard it. My father panicked and responded so fast and ask my mother, who was there at that time, to forgive him. My mother didn’t know what was going on between us, but it was an important apology for her, she never forgot it years after. And she always remembered it with fondness.

My father was a very good man, but we all have weakness and we all sin. If I didn’t told him of that sin, he would have died not confessing it. So what I am trying to say, God would not of send him to hell, because he really gave his all during those last few months of his life. God is not mean, he knows where our hearts are at. If we are for Him, but need some cleaning up to do, we go to Purgatory until we have done our time in purification, which is a very painful process to endure! If our hearts are closed to God, even as a Christian we will go to hell forever, when we die.

The Book of Maccabees

There is a two books called Maccabees, it is in some Bibles but not in all. I am going to quote from 2 Maccabees 12: 42-45 …..and gave themselves to prayer, begging that the sin committed might be urged the people to keep themselves free from all sin, having seen with their own eyes the effects of the sin of those who had fallen; after this he took a collection from them individually, amounting to nearly two thousand drachmae, and sent it to Jerusalem to have a sacrifice for sin offered, an altogether fine and noble action, in which he took full account of the resurrection for if he had not it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead, whereas if he in view the splendid recompense reserved for those who make a pious end, the thought was holy and devout. This was why he had this atonement sacrifice offered for the dead, so that they might be released from their sin….

Another thing to point out; as we all know Christianity roots come from the Jewish faith and in the Jewish religion, they even now still pray for the dead. I am not sure for how long, but it is in fact for a long time, some weeks at least. There are many and many testimonies about people in Purgatory, written in books. One book it is called ‘Purgatory’ and it is a Tan Publications. It was my first book and it scared me like you wouldn’t believe, because of what they suffer.

They suffer the pains of hell. That is why I want as many Christians to know about it as possible, because you can help them through your prayers to shorten their time there. Believe me every Christians has relatives suffering there and because people don’t know about Purgatory, they are not helping them. So they have to stay there full time. For some it is going to be until Judgement Day. How do I know? Jesus has told Catholics Saints centuries ago and is still revealing to Catholics in this century too that it is so. I have been told personally by Jesus to pray for my relatives and I do it every day.

Are We Truly Listening?

is(10)I was reading a very good book about how to know and fight the enemy Satan. Things to watch out for. This person use to serve Satan and he was one of Satan’s top man. He converted as a Protestant. I was listening to another person who use to serve Satan and he was also up there high in the ranks of Satan’s army, he converted into the Catholic faith. What I am going to say here is, just because these two men were both in Satan’s army for most of their lives doesn’t mean they know everything about Satan. If they did then why doesn’t the Protestant convert understand the Catholic faith that well? Why did the Catholic convert, converted to the Catholic faith in the first place and is now standing up for the Catholic faith? Not all ex-Satanism have the same knowledge to work with.

Catholics Becoming Protestants

I often hear about Catholics converting to Protestant churches and what amazes me are the reasons for them leaving the Catholic Church. In my opinion it is due to a lack of true knowledge of what Catholics actually believe in. I even claim Martin Luther had the same problem. You can be a theologian and still don’t get it. Let’s face it the religious of Jesus’s day, didn’t get it either or they wouldn’t of crucified Him.

When I hear some of the things that the Catholics, who converted to the Protestants churches are saying about the Catholic churches, like I didn’t know about the Rapture, the gift of tongues, etc. until I became a Protestant, I say to myself I have known these things most of my life as a Catholic, why haven’t they? I believe people do not look harder enough. They do not do any research work, like reading books on the saints etc. Learning from one another’s experiences have helped me a lot. They don’t know what is going on past their little group, which is their whole world. Protestants are the same. Not all Protestants churches believe in the Rapture or in the Charismatic movement. I happen to be going to a Protestant church at the moment. They are very kind and loving people, but I wouldn’t be game to say let’s start casting out devils in Jesus’s name, they would have a fit!!!

Of course I hear Protestant converting to the Catholic faith, which I am one of them and I believe they are the ones God is calling to educate people what Catholics actually believe in. Catholics who have been Catholics all their lives have basically been taught to keep silent, through being intimidated not only by the church but by society and the Protestants. Protestants are by far more outspoken then the Catholics.

Misunderstanding Between the Two Churches

It is the Protestants that do the preaching, so it is no wonder why there are so many Protestants out there hating Catholics. Protestants are teaching other Protestants wrongly what they think Catholics believe in, as if it has been proven to be true. They in fact have not done any research work on Catholic literature, written by Catholics at all. You need to hear both sides of the story, not just one side. In the court of law, they are supposed to dig up everything, every bit of evidence before they make a judgement on a thing. Protestants don’t do that they are simply preaching what other Protestants have taught them, who also didn’t do any research worth either. So it is a vicious circle. Catholics need Protestants converts, because Protestants are taught to be out there and speak up.

You know when I first became a Catholic, forty years ago, my first impression was that the Catholics are badly in need of Converts. To me it felt like they didn’t know how lucky they were, they took it all for granted. It is a bit like if you are born in a rich family, you don’t know how lucky you are, until it is all taken away from you. If you were born in a poor family and then became rich, you don’t take it for granted, you enjoy every minute of it. There is so much more I wanted to discuss on this subject, but to do it justice I need to write a book on it and since I hate writing books, I will have to do an article here and there on the subject.

How to Say the Rosary. Part 3

isML02FNOPIf you are a beginner at saying the Rosary, I suggest you look up the first two parts, before you look at this one.  On part two, all the prayers we will use for the Rosary is there for you to learn. When you have done that then you are ready to put it all together. If you read through the Gospels you will find the story of Jesus’s birth, death and resurrection. The Gospels are the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. It will help you to meditate on the rosary if you read through at least one of them such as the book of Matthew.

First thing is you sign yourself of the cross, kiss the crucifix in reverence of Jesus Crucifixion. And then decide what you want to offer the Rosary up for. Then say the Apostles Creed.

The next bead that follows after the crucifix is a bead all on its own, you say the Lord’s Prayer, then you move onto the three small beads that are together and on each one of them you say the Hail Mary prayer, then another bead that is on its own you then say the Glory Be prayer.

Now you are on a medal of Mary on one side usually and Jesus on the other side of the medial. On this medial is at the beginning of the Rosary Beads circle.

The first Decade

On this medial we will start with the Joyful Mystery. You might choose instead to say the Glorious Mystery if you wish. But we are going to start with the first mystery. So we will say ‘First Joyful Mystery The Annunciation’. And then you say the Lord’s Prayer, then you move to the left and you will see ten beads together and you meditate on each bead the mystery of the Annunciation, while you are saying the Hail Mary on each ten beads.

After a while you will be able to recite the Hail Mary prayer even in your sleep if you say the Rosary enough times. I have found myself waking from sleep saying the Hail Mary prayer, it is not as uncommon as you think. The Annunciation mystery is when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary who was a virgin and announced that she was to conceive a child who was to be called Y’shua (in Greek Y’shua is Jesus).  So for the ten beads while saying the Hail Mary prayer you use your imagination with the help of the Holy Spirit.  For example you may wonder what it would be like for Mary to get a message like that. If you read Luke 1:26-38 in your bible it will give you ideas what to think about.

The Beginning of the Second Decade

Then when you have finished saying Hail Mary ten times you then move onto a bead that is all on its own and you say the Glory Be prayer and then you say O my Jesus prayer then you say ‘Second Joyful Mystery The Visitation.’ Then you say the Lord’s Prayer. Once that is done you move down to the next ten beads that are together, and once again say the Hail Mary prayer on each and every bead while meditating on Mary’s visit to her cousin Elizabeth to help her, because she is much older and being pregnant herself. The child she is carrying is John the Baptist. Luke 1; 39-53, might help you to meditate on that mystery.

The Beginning of the Third Decade

When you finished that you then move onto the bead that is all on its own and say the Glory Be prayer and then the O my Jesus prayer and then you say ‘Third Joyful Mystery The Nativity.’ Then you say the Lord’s Prayer. Then you move onto the next ten beads and say Hail Mary on each and every bead meditating on the birth of Jesus. Luke 2, 6-19, might help you to meditate on Our Lords birth.

The Fourth Decade

When you finish that you saying the ten Hail Marys you now move on to another bead that is all on its own and you say the Glory Be prayer and then the O my Jesus prayer and then you say ‘Fourth Joyful Mystery The Presentation.’ Then say the Lord’s Prayer. Luke 2, 22-40, might be able to help you there.

The Fifth Decade

Now that you have done that you are now ready to begin the Fifth Joyful Mystery, doing what you have been doing with the other beads. Luke 2, 42-52 might help you to meditate on the fifth Mystery which is Finding Jesus in the Temple.

The Tail End of The Rosary

So now we should be back to the medial, now you have two choices you either continue to the next ten beads doing exactly what you have been doing but this time it is going to be the Sorrowful Mysteries, or finish saying the Rosary altogether. If you decide to finish the Rosary you then say Glory Be prayer, then O my Jesus prayer, then the Hail Holy Queen prayer and then you finish off with this prayer below.

O God whose only begotten Son, by his Life, Death and Resurrection has purchase for us the rewards of eternal life, grant we beseech thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen

Then you finish by signing yourself with the cross.

You Have Now Finished Saying The Rosary

I  will just write down the different mysteries down so that you may be able to find them in the Bible. And I will write down some verses in the bible you might what to have look at so as to get an idea of the things that may help you to meditate on. In the Rosary you are free to meditate anything at all. Sometimes when I am meditating on the first joyful mystery, ‘The Annunciation’  for example I will try to imagine Mary waking up to another day, expecting maybe nothing in particular to happen and then she receives a visit from an angel asking her will she consent to be the mother of Jesus. What would it feel like to get a message like that out of the blew. So you see there is no hard and fast rules how and what you should meditate on. Let yourself be guided by the Holy Spirit. He will gladly assist you if you ask?

Joyful Mysteries; Luke 1, 26- 52

  1. Annunciation (conception of Jesus)
  2. The visitation (Mary visiting Elizabeth)
  3. The Nativity (birth of Our Lord)
  4. The presentation (Jesus presented in the temple)
  5. Finding of Jesus in the temple (When Jesus was twelve years old)

Sorrowful Mysteries. Luke 22-31, Matt 14-41

  1. The Agony in the Garden.
  2. The Scourging at the Pillar.
  3. The Crowning with Thorns.
  4. The carrying of the Cross.
  5. The Crucifixion.

Glorious Mysteries Matt, 20-28, John 11-22, Acts2-41

  1. Resurrection.
  2. The Ascension.
  3. The Descent of the Holy Spirit.
  4. The Assumption. (Mary entering heaven)
  5. The Coronation. (Mary being crowned as queen of Heaven)

Prayers of the Rosary. Part 2

isPLLWHJ3SFirst step is sign yourself with the cross and then after you kiss the crucifix you then say the Apostle Creed which is said as below.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty. Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Note:  When we say I believe in the Holy Catholic Church, we are talking about the traditional teachings of the Orthodox Catholic Church. This new pope Francis is not recognised by God. I have heard it twice, once by a prophetess of the name Maria Divine Mercy, who was told the keys of the Vatican was returned to heaven when Pope Benedict resigned as Pope. And a young Spanish seer from Garabandal in 1961 was told by Our Lady how many more popes were to be before the end times and Mary said one of them she doesn’t recognised. Pope Francis is not teaching the true Catholic teachings at all, he is a danger to the church, but ultimately God’s people, the sheep of His flock will not follow him, because they will not recognise his voice as it is written in scripture. Jesus’s sheep will only recognise the voice of Jesus and it is Jesus we follow.

Now the next important prayer we use a lot in the Rosary is known by the Protestants as the ‘Lord’s Prayer.’ Catholics usually call it the ‘Our Father.’ In the Gospel the Lord’s Prayer is said twice. Catholics say the shorter version. The Protestants will add ‘and Thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen. Catholics don’t say that. Neither are wrong it is just your preference the way you want to say it. Both versions are in the bible.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver as from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Note:  We call Mary the mother of God, because at one time in Christian History there were heretics saying that Jesus wasn’t God. Christians all know God is a Trinity, which is Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. Three persons but yet one God. It is very hard to explain, but basically God put on human flesh to come down to earth to teach us all how to live and then He died on the cross taking our sins with Him to the cross to save us from hell, if we would only believe and obey Him. So the church tried to stop the heresies by saying Mary was the mother of God in other words Mary was the mother of God the second person, which is Jesus Christ. Their efforts did stopped the heresies from spreading. Now the beginning of the Rosaries we are saying what St. Elizabeth said to Mary in the Gospel when Mary came to visited and help her while she was pregnant with St. John the Baptist. So there is history attached to the prayer of ‘Hail Mary.’

The next important prayer of the Rosary that we use a lot is Glory Be

Glory Be

Glory Be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen

This Prayer Came later

On my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls to heaven, and help especially those most in need of Thy mercy. Amen

Hail Holy Queen, Or Salve Regina

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us; and after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

The Final Prayer

O God whose only begotten Son, by His life, death and resurrection has purchase for us the rewards of eternal life, grant we beseech thee, that meditating upon these mysteries of the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen

Now the next step is, while we are saying the Hail Mary Prayers we are supposed to let our minds meditate on the mysteries of our Redemptions. I will write down the different mysteries in their order. For the moment we are just getting all the prayers before you that you will need to know, to say the Rosary. In the next article we will have a much better idea how to use all this information.

The Joyful Mystery

The first Joyful Mystery is The Annunciation

The second Joyful Mystery is The Visitation

The third Joyful Mystery is The Nativity

The fourth Joyful Mystery is The Presentation   –   (When Jesus was circumcised)

The fifth Joy Mystery is The Finding of Jesus in The Temple

The Sorrowful Mystery

The first Sorrowful Mystery is The Agony in the Garden

The second Sorrowful Mystery is The Scourging at the Pillar

The third Sorrowful Mystery is the crowning with Thorns

The fourth Sorrowful Mystery is The Carrying of the Cross

The fifth Sorrowful Mystery is The Crucifixion

The Glorious Mystery

The first Glorious Mystery the Resurrection

The second Glorious Mystery the Ascension

The third Glorious Mystery the Descent of the Holy Spirit

The fourth Glorious Mystery the Assumption

The fifth Glorious Mystery the Coronation

Note: I remember reading a book about Mary’s life by a visionary who was given the supernatural gift of seeing Mary’s life and she was shown; Mary had the opportunity not to die, because of how pleasing her life was to God. Even though she was given this opportunity she chose to die, because she wanted to resemble her Son as much as possible. The fourth Glorious Mystery the Assumption is saying she didn’t die, she just went straight to heaven. And yet at the same time there is a feast day where we celebrate Mary’s death. So there is a contradiction here. When I meditate on the fourth Glorious Mystery I just meditate on the joy everybody in heaven receiving her as she enters in heaven with her Son.

Before We Begin the Rosary. Part 1

isPLLWHJ3SAll Christians of the different Orthodox Churches (the early churches that originally began by a disciples of Jesus, such as St. Peter, St. John, St Mark etc.) All the old churches before we pray we often do the sign of the cross. Many Protestant are often afraid of this, I am not sure why, I think they may think it is a form of superstition, I am not sure why.

I remember once when I started to sign myself with the cross one day, I felt the blessing of the whole crucifixion on me while doing it. Believe me that is powerful, words of course can’t describe such an experience as that. I found my hand was very heavy and could only sign myself extremely slowly with total reverence of the blessings that came from Jesus’s crucifixion. I believe God was teaching me by signing myself with the cross, the slower I did it with true reverence the better it is for me and of course the more powerful it is when I do it that way. I do not know how the custom got started, but far as I am concern since all the Orthodox Churches do it, it must have started with the first century Christians.

How we sign ourselves with the cross? We usually use our right hand. With the three middle fingers, we place it first on our forehead and say ‘In the name of the Father’ and then we place our fingers down just above our stomachs, bit below our chest, and while doing this we say ‘and the Son’. Then Catholics would then place their fingers on the left shoulder and then to the right shoulder, some churches do it the other way around and while we are doing this we say ‘and in the Holy Spirit.’ Doing that we keep the membrane of what Jesus did for us on the cross. By doing this before every prayer the membrane is forever with us and we are also giving witness to it. Some people like myself when we done that we then put our fingers on our heart. And say ‘Amen’ by doing this we are saying we are sinners, I repent of all my sins, please forgive me, by the merits of all that Jesus suffered for me on the cross.

We do this at the beginning of most prayers and saying the Rosary is no exception. After signing ourselves with the cross we then kiss the small crucifixion figure on our Rosary beads. When I told this to my Protestant friend, when she first was learning to say the Rosary she was fearful. So I tried to explain why we do it. Since we are not physical so to speak at the foot of the cross and we can’t personally kiss the foot of Jesus we do the next best thing and that is kiss the crucifix as if we are kissing His feet.

It still worried her, so then I tried to explain it this way, when I was in my very early twenties I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I couldn’t help praising Him and I wanted to give Him a bear hug and kiss Him passionately, but since I couldn’t do this I told Him I am going to kiss and hug my pillow as if it is Him and would He accept it as if I am really hugging and kissing Him. Two years after that experience God the Father appeared to me as light and was very hot and to keep the story very short, He hug and place His face on my face on the right side. I knew in my heart He was responding to the time when I hug and kissed my pillow as if I was kissing and hugging Him. He was basically saying that He not only accepted it, He blessed it tremendously. Nothing we do for God out of love is ever wasted. And we must always remember we are to come to God as a child not as the stuffy old man that supposed to have died when we were born again.

To be a child of God is not to be childish but to have the pure and simple faith of a child. They use their imagination, stuffy old adults are not capable of doing this. Being a stuffy old man are too proud to be childlike. Basically they are not able to let themselves go and be free to love in God’s Spirit, which gives us so much joy.

Now that I have explained this, in my next article I will begin to explain how we say the Rosary.

Something of Interest Regarding Bible Translations

I have just looked at a YouTube video and the guy who is Jewish said that St. Paul when he was talking about whether women should be silent in churches said something of interest to me. He first said that St. Paul was writing letters and he was answering questions. Where we would have quotation marks to let people know we are quoting something they use to use two dots. When the question arose about women ‘as the law tells them to be quiet in churches and learn from their husbands’ the law he said was not referring to the law of Moses, but a traditional law, which I happen to forget its name. He challenges anybody to try to find a law in the Torah “the Old Testament” that tells women to stay silent. He said the translators put the question with the texts so that it looks like the question came from St. Paul when it was a question from somebody else that St. Paul was in fact answering.

The Bible being Translated by the Wrong People

Originally the bible was translated by monks. The point here is they were dedicated to God to translate the bible as accurately as they could and then people were being employed to translate the bible. By the mid twentieth century Atheist were translating the bible. And as we know a great many atheist would love to see the bible proven wrong. So I thought that was a real mad idea letting atheist translate our bible. I have an old bible about forty years old called ‘The Jerusalem Bible’ and the word ‘bless’ had been translated as happy. Which set my back up, because a nun name Sister Josefa Menendez was told by Jesus that the greatest jewel He can give somebody was His suffering of His cross. To human thinking that is not a happy occasion, unless you truly have the heart and mind of Christ.

Wrong Translations of the Word Bless

How many times have we been so blessed that Jesus has given us a cross to bear for His glory and we said something like ‘take it away, I can’t take it anymore.’ What about the prophet Jonah when he was told to convert a people of heathens to repent and fear the Lord and they actually listen and obeyed. So there was no way of knowing if he was a true prophet or not, because all the terrible judgements that God was going to send to them, didn’t happen. So there was no proof in his mind that he was a true prophet, before anybody. He wanted rather to die than be accused of being a false prophet. He actually turned out to be one of the most successful ones in the bible.

I have a beautiful bible called ‘One New Man Bible.’ I got it from Sid Roth ‘Its Supernatural’ store. It is one of the most accurate of bibles they claim. I am finding it to be very helpful and there is another book of The Psalms, translation of ‘The Passion’ I am also finding it a very beautiful and helpful book too.

We Are the Brides of Christ

I remember my mother telling me when I was young that my mother said a few years after her marriage she would look back on her wedding day and thought to herself that she was glad that she thought she loved my father, otherwise she would not of married him, but now she really does love him. And then a few more years past and she would make the same mistake. After fifteen of marriage, it finally dawned on her that she had always loved him, but the love was always increasing so much so that the previous year didn’t look like love to her. That is how our marriage with Christ is like. Our love keeps growing and our hearts desire to please Him grows so much stronger, that the previous years we consider ourselves extremely selfish in our service to Him. We are always selfish, but if we are trying not to be, that pleases God tremendously, more than it does us. While we are growing more and more in love with our God, we become more critical of our services to Him, because we become more and more aware how much more God deserves to be loved by us.

Romans 8:35-39. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?  As it is written: For your sake we face death all day long: we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Now we may have heard this a million of times and no longer be able to appreciate what St. Paul is saying here. But when you are going through a hard time it starts to have a much deeper meaning than during more peaceful times. Being married to Christ in this world is like a roller-coaster. You are up or down all through your life. Not so if we were living in a world that truly worship’s God our Creator, because His Will is for us to love one another unconditionally. There are plenty people who think they are serving God, but as Jesus said they never knew God, if they did know God they would not be persecuting Him. God is a God of Love not hate.

When you believe you can’t take it anymore but cry out to God anyway, He comes in such a way that you are strengthen and so keep going further. I don’t know how many times I have said there is no way I am going to write another article and then I find God gives me an article to write that I just have to do and when it is done it is usually one of my better articles. I don’t know why God wants me to write, because I feel like I am not doing such a good job, but for some reason it seems God wants me to do it. So I am sure you are finding it out for yourself, you decide I am not doing such a great job serving God in this area, so I won’t do it anymore and then God gives you courage to continue. We are called to work for Him in season and out of season. That verse in the bible is making more sense to me than ever before.

I have been told once by my mother, in marriage you go through the dry season, when you and your spouse basically gets into a rut and you know word by word what your spouse is going to say and do. In other words it is a very boring period of time in your marriage and then all of a sudden it is like a second honey moon breaks out and it is far better than the first honey moon and the whole marriage is like that. You have to go through a dry season first and then a better honey moon period than the previous honey moon, will follow. Well it is like that when you are married to Christ. When it is dry season, you got to hang in there regardless of its cost and after you persevered through those hard times, the honey moon arrives and it is so exciting, far better than the previous honey moons you have ever had with Him.
