Growing in Wisdom

Proverbs 8:11. For wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire can compare with her.isO5HO9OA7

Sometimes the filing system in my concordance of my bible, is so different from how I think. I find bible verses that I am looking for most of the time in it. On the other hand there are times, it doesn’t matter how hard I try, and I just can’t find the verse I am looking for. The above verse does make the point clear that we should seek wisdom, because it is truly priceless. The verse I was looking for was the one that says ‘wisdom is more precious than gold and silver.’ Why was it so important for me to find that verse? I want to go back to a time when I was about twelve years old. I opened up my bible to the verse that said ‘wisdom is more precious than gold and silver.’ Because I feared God I agreed to it, but deep in my heart I preferred the gold and silver. I was young so I had very little knowledge that God saw what was in my heart. You can’t fool God. Now not long after that God had to teach me how important wisdom was, by not giving it to me when I was so desperately in need of it. There is a saying ‘sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.’ It is a very unpopular saying but totally truthful. It is only because we are so stubborn and refuse to learn what is good for us. We refuse to obey; can’t get any plainer than that.

Uncontrollable Thoughts

The trial I was experiencing, felt like a hell on earth and it lasted about seven years. So I missed out all the good times when I was young. I believed every day I was going to go to hell. I was busy trying to save myself. I was suffering with uncontrollable thoughts that was extremely upsetting. The thoughts forced their way into my mind. The more panic I got over them, the stronger the thoughts became. So it was complete torture. I didn’t tell anybody about them, because I thought nobody would love me anymore. Now that I am adult in my senior’s years, I see so many people tortured with the same trial. Everybody thinks they are the only ones, but far from it. Saint John of the Cross says it happens to people who God is preparing them to have a deeper union with Him. And he continues and says for the sensitive souls, find it extremely hard, meaning they think it is them. Now I have read it decades ago so the wording is all wrong but the meaning is the same. These thoughts come from demons, not the person.

God Does Have Some Wonderful Plans For Us

Satan knows some of the plans God has for you. And they are great plans if you take God up on it. And of course Satan is going to do everything possible to stop it from ever happening. Unfortunately many people are so fearful of the trial that Satan gives them, they don’t trust God. So they give in and back away from the plan God is preparing for them. If you keep up the fight and trust God you always will come up on top and win a great victory for yourself and for the kingdom of God. God is always with you, but if you don’t trust Him, you will get weaker and then you start turning to the world for consolations and it never satisfies you for very long. If you had persevered to the end, what would have happened, you would have learned so much about the enemy’s tactics? And would of grown both wiser and stronger as a Christian and be able to help others who are going through what you just have been through. And the reward on earth and in heaven is so great, that it is worth every bit of trouble you go through.

My lack of wisdom tortured me, for one thing I learnt you don’t isolate yourself when you suffer, you have to talk about it to a wise person that you can trust. The second thing I learnt you have to trust in God’s mercy, and you really have to believe in His infinite love and greatest desire to forgive you of all your sins whatever they are, whether they are imaginary or real. The third thing I learnt you can’t save yourself. The fourth thing you have to pray for your survival sometimes without ceasing and fourthly don’t give up.

Released From My TormentsisWNUVGOVL

I suffered this torment for approximately seven years and I remember I said one day ‘I am going to believe in God’s mercy even if I don’t believe I am going to believe.’ I meant it with all my being and I do think that is what God was waiting for. One thing I was humbled to the ground and secondly I knew only God could help me and thirdly I was going to believe even if it looked like God was against me. What instantly followed was I felt all this weight leaving my body from my head upwards. I didn’t know it at the time, that weight were demons that were tormenting leaving me. And I was rejoicing and praising God with all my heart over the freedom that I was then experiencing. Then the memory came to me, which I now know was the Holy Spirit, reminding me of the time I was preferring gold and silver instead of wisdom. And I can remember the question that was presented to me, ‘if somebody ask you to exchange wisdom for silver or gold would you?’ I remember so clearly saying that ‘I would laugh at their faces, no way would I prefer gold and silver in exchange for wisdom.’ What a lesson! It took years of being humbled to get to that stage. Now don’t fear, it doesn’t have to be that way. The quicker we learn to do things God’s way the quicker we arrive at His truths. In other words, obey Him and we will be alright. If we are prepared to deny ourselves and pick up our cross and follow Jesus it is so much easier than fighting God. It is like gardening, fighting nature instead of going with it, makes everything so difficult.

Working In God’s Vineyard

I was thinking a couple of days ago about Jesus speaking about a parable. Some people were employed to work in the vineyard from the very beginning of the day and others set to work much later and the last lot of people who arrived working in the vineyard, started an hour before knock off time. When it was time for everybody to get paid, the people who worked in the last hour got the same pay as the ones who started working in the man’s vineyard from the very beginning of the day. I have to admit I have been very jealous of those who started late. One day I was thinking about it and I thought I am glad I started at the beginning, because I am working for such a lovely Master. Straight away Jesus showed me how much my thoughts pleased Him. And it is true, despite of all the hardships you go through and there is so many, especially if you really commit yourself to God. The reason being, Satan for starters is going to do everything in his power to stop you. God always gives you the feeling of well done. Even that feeling alone is wonderful and worthwhile.

Another thing I just want to mention. I have been meditating a lot on how big God is lately and it has been some journey. It has brought me so much closer to God. All my life I am getting closer to God, the journey doesn’t ever stop. If we love God we are always wanting to get closer and closer to Him. My thoughts were not only on how big God is but also reflecting, His love, mercy, strength, Glory everything is as big as He is. I was considering our small Satan really is in comparison to how big God is and I said ‘Satan is only a speck.’ I felt Satan presence and he was so angry. So all he did was confirmed it was true. If it wasn’t true he would of, laughed at me.

Confession is Now Called Reconcilliation

I prefer to use the word confession for some reason, so I will use that word rather than what most people are using which is reconciliation. I am very out of date with these kinds of things. I want to draw your attention to it and why Catholic practise it. Many Protestant disagree with it. And I did too when I was a Protestant. The thing is God was very gracious to me, because He granted me a grace to show me God is truly present in the priest during confession. When the priest absolves your sins, he is doing it through the grace God has given to all His priest. It is not the priest that absolves you from your sins, it is Jesus that is working in him, and through him.

Before I could join the Catholic Church there was no way around it, I had to say my confession before I was allowed to be confirmed into the Catholic Church. When I finished my confession, the priest then spoke the words of absolution. I felt and saw the grace called sanctification and it was so strong! Pouring out of the priest mouth and onto me. There was no way I could deny it.

is(10)Another thing that really impressed me was, the particular church I use to go to; the one that I grew up in; I never heard the word sanctification before, it was a new word for me. Yet while the priest spoke, the exact word came to me and I knew what it meant. The priest didn’t say the word, it was the Holy Spirit that said it. I have had other experiences from God teaching me that He is truly present in a priest while he is listening to our confessions. I don’t understand why Protestants find it so difficult to believe?  They know that Jesus lives in all born again Christians. why wouldn’t He live in a priest especially while the priest is conducting a service on God’s behalf? It is not the priest ability to free us from our sins, it is a grace that God has given to them for our benefit. It is very similar to the belief that Jesus has given us His authority to heal the sick, cast out devils and so on in His name.

I really wish Protestants would read of the countless testimonies that Catholics have reported over the centuries. I believe most Protestant would see Catholics beliefs with new eyes. There are always sceptics that can’t believe in anything, but if you are one with God you do sense His Spirit present when people of God are giving their testimonies of their experiences of Him. Because the Spirit of Truth comes from God and can be sensed by people who can discern Him.

Ask God When You Are in Doubt

I firmly believe what God says to a Protestants and Catholics are sometimes different things, because God knows what you are open too and can handle. And He does not force new teachings on you if you are not willing to learn from Him. You can always ask God to open your eyes so that you can understand truths that you don’t understand or have not yet been introduced to. You can guarantee, like all of us, we don’t know as much as we think we do. We in fact know so little about God and His ways. We are always learning new secrets about God.

I believe without a doubt in heaven we will keep learning for the whole of eternity, and it would be such a joy to learn about how wonderful God is. Jesus said ‘seek and you shall find.’ I don’t think many Christians really seek out the truth in real earnest that much, we are so sure we know it all. We are all too proud to listen to what God is saying through people that we consider ourselves superior too. God shares His secrets to the humble. He raises the lowly and humbles the proud. We must pray for humility all the time, if we want to recognise what God is saying in people. Some of us are blocking God’s will for ever happening, because we are so sure we are right and everybody else is wrong. I believe Protestants and Catholic both have something to give one another, because God does talk to both of us. Always has.

Reasons for Going to Confession

James 1:5. If you need wisdom ask our generous God, and He will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.

My mother had a vision once. She was a Catholic from birth, but she didn’t understand the reason why Catholics had to go to confession. Her argument was if we repent of our sins and believe that Jesus has paid the price for our sins on the cross, why should we have to go to confession? It is basically what Protestants believe. She asked God and Jesus appeared to her and He was not angry with her for asking Him, nor was He upset of her ignorance. He was smiling at her and said ‘it is because you don’t believe, that you need to go to confession.’

isW102ZQ1LLet’s be honest how many Christians can honestly say they believe with all their hearts God forgives all their sins. Despite the fact we believe Jesus died for us, our faith levels are not always perfect. We have to deal with Satan for one thing, trying to convince us constantly that God doesn’t love us and He will not forgive that sin. The one that we worry about the most, the one that keeps coming back and haunting us. That is why Jesus said to my mother you need to go to confession, because you don’t believe I love you enough to forgive you.

After you go to confession you do feel like a load has been lifted off your shoulders and sometimes you experiences a miracle for going, because God is so please that you have confess a sin that was particularly hard for you. God does bless us when we go to confession. It is also very humbling to tell a priest about your sins. There are sins you don’t want to tell anybody especially to a priest. I know one priest complain to me, about priest having to go to confession because they have to go to one another to confess their sins. In other words he was saying it is much harder for them, because they know one another and have to work with one another.

God is Always for us if we are For Him

Isaiah 43:2-3

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Saviour.”

It is one of my favourite verses in the Bible, depending on my mood. God is talking to a person who is living a life of holiness. Often God will make promises, but before you see the fruit of those promises you have to be dedicated to Him. You have to serve God and no other. God is talking to His own. People who truly trust Him and obey Him. Many people don’t see that. They want their cake and eat it. They can’t have it both ways and get away with it. They can’t expect the promises of God to be fulfilled, in their lives if they serve strange gods and not repent. You will be surprise the gods we serve. You think they are harmless distractions, but they are keeping us are away from God’s promises. We are often guilty of wanting one foot in the world and the other serving God. There is so many gods we serve. Knowledge is one that you might not expect. If you use knowledge in a way that glorifies God then it has served its purpose. If you want knowledge for power over others for example than it is not working for God’s glory. Another god that I have just woken up to in me is called ‘comfort.’ Many things don’t get done for God, because we love our comfort far too much. God’s gifts are beautiful, but we must make sure God is loved by us far more than His gifts.

We Need to Repent Every Day

Now what I have just said is very depressing, because we are all guilty of serving strange gods in one way or another. The thing is God is patient to a soul who examines his conscious daily and then genuinely repents from all things that he has committed against God. We won’t know all our sins, because of our spiritual blindness. I always ask God to forgive all my sins, the ones that I know about and the ones that I don’t know about. The way I see it, it is like having a daily bath. Repenting of our sins, is something we have to do every time we see that we are displeasing God in our actions or words. God does not have an ego problem as we do. God rejoices every time you turn to Him in repentance. Because every time you do, you are showing God it is Him that your heart truly wants to serve. We are very weak and God is not at all surprise about that. He knew you were weak before you were even born. I meditate a great deal on Jesus in Gethsemane. Jesus saw beforehand what He had to endure on the following day while He was praying in the garden. It was so horrific for Him, He sweated blood out of fear of what He needed to do to save us. Jesus explained to Gabrielle Bossis that He was like a frighten child. Despite of that He said yes to God the Father to go through the whole passion for us. Jesus didn’t die as a God. If He had done that His death would not have meant anything to The Father. He had to die as a man with all our sins upon Him. We just have to remember to be grateful to Him. What God hates the most is indifference. Unfortunately we all have been guilty of that too. Repent! Repent! It is so important. It should be done daily without fail.

Do You Want to Climb the Ladder of Holy Love?

I have found a great book, it has been around for at least forty years or more. It is called ‘The Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.’ What is the flame of Love in Mary’s Heart, it can be no other than Jesus her Son’s flame of Love in her. God is Love. Love is a Spirit and that Spirit is the Holy Spirit. So when we admire somebody, because of the greatness of their fellowship with God, we really are admiring God’s work in them. So there is never anything we can boast about ourselves at all. We can only boast in what Jesus has done for us. This book is a spiritual diary, easy to read and understand. Jesus teachers her how to grow in His likeness. So it is for the serious student of holy love, who genuinely wants to serve God on His terms. It is very encouraging, because she does stumble sometimes and Jesus gives her encouraging words when she does.

Deny Your Yourself For Jesus  clip_image00412

Luke 9:23 – 24. Then he said to them all: ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.

The problem is many Christians think, to be saved, God is not asking them to be His disciple. Jesus has made it clear, you are either for Him or against Him. There is no grey. It is black and white. The problem becomes clear when we look at ourselves, we immediately see how impossible it is for us to be as generous as to give up everything for God. That is because you are not looking at what God can do. You still think you have to do everything by your own strength. I do not know why we have such a problem realising only God is God. We are totally helpless without Him. He told Gabrielle Bossis that desire is a bud and we all know plants cannot bear fruit without it being a bud first. God will work on us if we let Him.

If we get a promotion at work it always acquires more responsibilities and more of our time and a great many sacrifices. Many people will make strenuous sacrifices for money, but not for God. I believe some promotions are not worth it. Especially if it is going to distance you from your family. People need love more than material goods. Making sacrifices does not always feel like a sacrifice if it is done out of true love. When you love somebody you are not thinking about yourself at all, it is all about the other person. When God is calling us for promotions in being more like Him, it always means more sacrifice. And God loves a generous giver, who will give Him everything with a smile. The more you give to God without counting the cost, the more joy you receive. You have learnt to put your complete trust in God and love and faith just grows as a result of sacrificing yourself to Him.

I remember reading about a contemplative that spent hours of her time contemplating, because she enjoyed the presence of the Lord so much that she neglected her family needs. In other words she was not serving God but herself. God wants us to serve others, especially the people God has placed in our lives. So you have to watch yourself all the time and ask yourself ‘am I doing this sacrifice for my own glory or for God’s glory.’ We fall many times, we have such a problem with the spirit of pride and it used against us by Satan all the time. So keep asking God to for wisdom and discernment in what He is calling you to do, and He will open your eyes, if you pray in faith.

Luke 23: 26. As the soldiers led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus.

Simon from Cyrene

I imagine Simon complaining ‘why me.’ And all the time if he only knew how privileged he was and that he would even go down in history as the man that helped Jesus carry His cross. Wouldn’t you like to go down in history for doing that? Can you imagine the holy pride he now feels in heaven, now that he understands who the man was that he helped carry the cross. It would not be a secret in heaven. I believe there would be holy jealousy in heaven over it. Well Jesus did say how we treat the least we have treated Him. It is not poetry either, because Jesus lives in those who have surrender to Him. The more we have surrender to Him the more we become Christlike, because Jesus truly lives in us.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Powerful prayers to remember. Some people might be confused why Catholics refer to Mary as the Mother of God. There was a time in history when people were saying that Jesus was just a man and not God, so the church gave Mary that title to cancelled out that lie. The church was saying is still saying Jesus is God as well as man. Jesus is the second person in the Holy Trinity. We have God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, three person but one God. The best way to explain it is you are one person, but people relate to you differently on each role, for example the role of a offspring, parent, and  sibling, you are the same person but you have these different roles.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy

On the Medal of Our Lady (the medal that begins the circle of the beads, not from the crucifix)

You say

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Then say one Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death. Amen

Then say the Apostle Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins and the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen

Then you say on the medal of Our Lady, that beings the circle of rosary beads and from then on the bead that stands alone.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Thy Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Then you say on all the ten beads in a row, in other words the beads that you would normally say Hail Mary.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

You finish the prayer by saying three times.

Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy immortal One, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Slient Prayer is Contemplation

Psalm 46.10 is(19)

He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’

There are many ways to learn to be still. Satan does not want you to learn to be quiet and still before the Lord. Great intimacy and a very powerful union with God will come out of this type of prayer. It can make you a saint, if you practise it diligently. You will be walking in the presence of God. Look at the world we live in, it is anything but peaceful and quiet. It is so noisy and chaotic. All the inventions just about are so noisy that you cannot hear yourself think. Where there is unrest, your mind is not on God. Noise helps to prevent you from being in a state of calm. When you are calm you can see things more clearly, as God wants you to see. You will be able to relate to God more easily, because you are in peaceful state of being. When you learn how to practise the silent prayer, the peace which comes from Gods presence will carry you through all the stress and noise of this world.

Sometimes It Takes Time To Settle Down

Satan will try to distract you like crazy, sometimes it may take thirty to sixty minutes, just to quieten down. One woman asked a nun ‘how many different ways is there to practise contemplation?’ And the nun said ‘as many as there are people in the world.’ Contemplation is another word expressing to ‘be still before God.’ There are many different ways people express it. Some call it the silent prayer, others call it going into the secret place, or garden, where basically you are alone with the Lord. God is in you and being silent before God is just like when you are enjoying somebody you love being present. There is no talking with one another you just enjoy their company or another way of putting it you, just want to be with them.

You don’t always feel His presences especially when you are just starting out and lot of people give up, because you feel like you are wasting time. You think nothing is happening, but I think God is training you about many things. One thing for sure it takes perseverance, patience, humility, faith and loyalty to keep at it. So you are definitely growing in virtues.

Spiritual Language Can Be Difficult To Understand

Saint Teresa has written books on her contemplative experiences, for example her classic book ‘Interior Castle’ is so difficult to understand. When I first read it I couldn’t understand it but I felt the presence of love so strong in her words. She was so advance only a few can really understand her. She even explains it that it can be like reading Greek if you don’t understand it. Because basically spiritual things of God is so impossible to use ordinary human words to describe them. You know when people try to translate a sentence for example in another language and you can’t always do it that well, you lose something in the translation, well how much more is that true when you are trying to explain spiritual things.

Mark 4; 39  isWNUVGOVL

He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

We can do this too, because when we are quiet within ourselves we are connected to God and His power. Now there are many ways to connect to God and we need to practise them all. We are not always quiet before the Lord for example, what about the times when we are singing to Him on top of our voices. We have to know the times when God is calling us to do absolutely nothing and just rest in Him, so that He can do His wonderful work in us. Being quiet also can be practise when we choose to quieten our emotions to serve God, for example instead of practising being irritable, because things are not the way you want them, try to be gentle and loving or sometimes you can try to be cheerful instead. It works. Love works. And people either like you more or love you more. Do not go overboard with cheerfulness, sometimes people need you to cry with them too.

Psalm 37: 7

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

If we are in a state of worry, it is a good indication that we need time out with God and learn to be quiet and still before Him. Really we should practice being quiet before Our God every day, sometimes it is not always possible but ideally we will feel a great deal better and more able to cope with life if we do. All prayers quieten you down to some extent. I am a quiet person by nature, probably due to the fact that I live a pray life. Being still before God, I have practiced it off and on throughout my life and I am just only now doing it more persistently than ever before, through necessity. This prayer demands a great deal more discipline then all other prayers and it may also require a great deal more faith, because you basically do nothing. And you know what humans are like. They want to do things for God, not just sit around and do nothing.

This is a time when God is doing all the work, sometimes secretly and other times He may let you know what He is doing. It is a time of healing, of being cleansed, being refreshed, being strengthen and growing in the knowledge of God, are only a few things that can take place. So you can imagine why Satan hates it so much. And why he is trying to make this world such a noisy place to live in. He is trying to stop people from hearing God.

God’s Presence Is Not Always Felt

Sometimes you can feel God’s presence and other times you cannot. Naturally when you feel His presence it is a great deal easier then when you cannot. It is a time of great relaxation, the deeper you go the deeper your level of peace you enter into. Hours can feel like only minutes. If you are like me it is hard work staying still. Everybody has to finds what works best for them, with some people they find God in the garden, others during fishing, Saint Teresa would look at a picture of Jesus, with me it is music. They call it soaking music. Quiet gentle music that is praising God. Other times I meditate on Jesus Crucifixion and can feel God’s presence that way. You have to find what works with you we are all different.

We Are So Small Before God

Psalm 139:10, If I go up to heaven, You are there; if I go down to the grave, You are there, if I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there Your hand will guide me, and Your strength will support me.

isGB1GPL5DI was actually trying to find another verse but could not find it, but I found this one instead and I believe God wants me to use this one. The other verse was describing how big God was by saying that we can’t imagine the height, width or the length or depth of God. When I finish off my prayers I usually say the glory be prayers three time before signing myself of the cross five times. One day I decided to raise my hands up high in the air while saying the glory be prayer and try to use my imagination to see to the best of my ability the height, width, depth and length of God. I realised I am smaller than a molecule before God and that if He was like us He wouldn’t even be able to see us at all since we are so small. When we reflect on Psalm 139:10 David can’t imagine anything further than the farthest oceans that seemed unreachable to him. Now days most of us have television, so we are seeing nations all over the world often, so it no big deal for us and many people have travelled around the world so that statement would not be so incredible to some of them. But in his day to imagine something so far away was too much for his mind to comprehend. Now we see pictures of the universe.

Vision Of How Small We Are

I then laid down to listen to my soaking music and while I was very relaxed God showed me some things that I knew if I didn’t try earlier on how to imagine how big God really was and how small we really are, I would not of got the vision at all. You know what Jesus says ‘seek and you will find.’ The vision God gave me, He let me have a yard still to measure Him somewhat with. It is mind blowing. He showed me Himself as a Man and around Him was trees and a sky etc. Of course God is in all that too, so He is showing me He can only give me a very small idea how big He is. Like I said He showed me Himself as a man and as the bible says I don’t know the exact words are but it says, He holds us in the palm of His hand. Not only does He holds us in the palm of His hand, He holds the whole universe in the palm of His hand so comfortably. The whole universe is so small in His hand. Then you try to think that is just the palm of His hand what about the rest of Him. Our planet is so small you couldn’t see it never alone us.

We Are So Tiny

Now this is the thing, we are so small the word tiny doesn’t describe us at all and then when we think of our big egos getting in the way of everything. God is so patient with us, He truly loves us more than we can ever comprehend. Even in heaven we will not see the full extent of His love for us. He is too big it would kill us if He showed it all to us. I understand a bit more why He had to come down to earth as a man not only to save us, but so we could approach Him. Don’t ever listen to the lies of Satan when he tells you, you are not worthy of His love. God just wants our love and if we give Him that in all truth He will gladly overlook our weakness. Because if we truly love Him we will do our best to please Him and God knows how we weak we are, He just wants our love. He has been telling people that over and over again to somebody in every generation and in this generation to many, because Jesus is truly coming soon.

Be Darling Let Go And Love As A Child

To deepen your love for God, be daring, let yourself go and be a child again. I have a book on Song of Songs in the Passion Translation. For those who don’t know what the Song of Songs is, it is a book in the Old Testament part of the Bible. It is Our Lord speaking to His bride which is the Church, every true follower of Jesus Christ is His bride. I wrote down all my favourite parts in it and then I composed a prayer reminding Him what He said and I was getting very cheeky with Him, out of love of course and I know He loved it and it has helped me to get even closer to Him. Try it for yourself or something similar. The more you give the more you receive. I know a great many guys have problems with this, thinking themselves as brides of Christ. Women too have problems getting their heads around things when we are described as first born sons, and described as kings etc. These descriptions are explaining spiritual things using something we can comprehend by. A yard stick so to speak, to help us understand something that is very hard for us to get the gist of otherwise. Jesus is our spiritual lover. Jesus is not only a man but He is also God. Men and women fall in love with the God side of Jesus. It is not cardinal at all.
